San, I have an old P-35 that I've though about removing the mag disconnect on. Mine is a beat-up and well used (before I got it) old pistol that shoots great, but the nickel finish is all but gone so I don't need to worry about scratches too much. Can you give me a brief discription on the...
I was issued one (actually a M3, but for all practical purposes the same animal) back in 1959 or 60 as a "sniper" rifle. It had a large infrared night scope on it attached to a battery pack that weighed more than the rifle. Sweet shooting rifle, would love to have it today. Fun to shoot but...
Kyarcher, that looks familiar to some I've used in the past, no problem with it. Mine may have been 180gr though, not sure. (I did not purchase from SGA.) The only "government contract" stuff I've had trouble with is some Winchester Q4369 in .40 180 gr. It fired fine but there were other...
1KperDay, I think that is the link that I had read and was just wondering how/what gets damaged since firing the pistol does the same thing, only one strips a round from the mag, the other does not.
That's why I was wondering if striker versus hammer/pin has anything to do with the "possible...
I just read that "dropping the slide" on an empty chamber repeatedly can damage a pistol. The pistol in question was a 1911 type. My questions are:
1-What type of damage can result?
2-Does this apply to all pistols or is it 1911 type specific? (Striker fired Glock type -vs- Browning...
I have the G22 and the G35 and enjoy them both. The .40 is a tad more costly to feed and some don't care for the little extra muzzle flip in the .40 but it hasn't bothered my old athritic hands. If possible rent each at a range and go from there.
Respectfully
Kyle
I recently acquired two pistols that are well used. (Peruvian police/drug enforcement). The first is a "Fabrique Nationale Herstal Belgique". I assume it is a 9mm. It has a magazine though it is in rough condition. I would like to get another magazine for it but not sure what "brand" will...
I too have arthritis amoung other complications in my hands/wrists and had to eventually give up the .357 revolver. I bought a pistol and with a little bit of a relearning curve, I can shoot it without dreading the next shot. That may not work for some, but the pistol is lighter than my old...
mdauben, I do not have any problem with either holster (Bianchi or Fobus for G22 and G35) coming off with draw, but I do shove the paddle in the pants and not directly behind the belt as I've seen some do at the range. Last month I did order a belt from Beltman.net that is hefter and thicker...
