Yes, that is a purple cedar from the Central Oklahoma area. I am told that the red soil is what gives it the purple color, but who knows for sure. It is definitely different from the standard cedar I have seen.

This is not a safe, but I am curious of thoughts on how to secure any collector guns I decide to display. I will have oak doors with some sort of glass installed later this week.

Same reason people by: Old cars, stamps, coins, baseball cards, comic books etc... It is a hobby. I buy/sell guns because because it is "non spousable" income. I have liquidity to buy other toys without causing a fight.

Marksmanship is a skill. I trained, I practiced and I was Qualified Rifle Expert every year with the A2. Today, I still apply the same techniques when hunting and I have never had to fire more than one shot and have only had to track one animal. PS... No way I could qual Expert today!!! Eyes...
