If one wanted unbiased death by firearms stats...

Good point, would also be good to compare injuries, not just death. don't disagree the agency is anti-gun and may bias some numbers, but the actual numbers also show the CDC admits hospitals accidentally kill 160x more people than guns :) Unintentional hospital-acquired infection ~99,000...

At least some guy is trying..... http://2ndamendmentmarch2009.lefora.com/forum/ ANd for the NRA... http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=405947 I can't understand why a multi-million dollar organization cannot effectively organize it's members for the cause in which they represent...

    Remington 700

I don't have much experience, but I would say # 1 reason, the price, $$$$. Guess it depends how you intend to use it. Many claim there are much less $$$ rifles that adequately meet their needs, such as the Savage. They are all capable of taking deer.

    Gun Shows

We had a show last weekend, I decided not to go based on previous experiences and from what I have heard on here about recent shows, my father went and was disappointed... Guess it depends on whether you are looking for 'good deals' or something specific... If you are looking for something...

    Write to CVS Pharmacy

NOt quite, if being played with or used inappropriately, YES. If simply sitting harmless in a closet or drawer, NO. All we need is a bunch of emotional anti parents calling LE pointing out all the responsible gun owners, menawhile not only causing their child to possibly 'fear' guns, but also...

Home Security, How Many, and Safes?

Don't take this personal, just play devils advocate to help make logical decision.... Maybe if safe is in bedroom, I plan to have mine in basement.. Doesn't that defeat purpose of a safe, only takes one time to forget to lock it back.... Agreed... Guess that would be my primary reason..

Home Security, How Many, and Safes?

And what about Home Defense? Gun(s) + kids = unsafe Gun(s) in safe = useless for protection I remember as a kid having unlocked loaded guns in the home, but as a parent I realize how 'exploratory' my kids are, at least until they can comprehend the dangers. This was the cause of my...

    Write to CVS Pharmacy

And to think as a child I was aware of guns in the house, was taught the dangers and told not to play with them. Scary to think I actually went hunting before high school, and there were rifles/shotguns and ammo sitting visibly around the house, or worse, a friends house, and no one got hurt...

Home Security, How Many, and Safes?

I have been thinking about purchasing one of those budget SAMS Winchester safes, seems like decent safe for money, and a few questions came to mind? How many firearms before justification of safe purchase? (1,2,3, 12) Safe vs. Safety vs. Home Security? (Theft vs. Kids vs. Defense)...

How about a "Million Gunowners March"?

Many of the churchs in my area have a "Wild Game Feed" and participate in 'Sportsman Challange' and 'Hunters for the Hungry', to help homeless and needy. http://www.huntersforhungry.org/ http://www.sportsmanschallenge.org/index.php
