    I personally would go with the 10/22 and a 3x9 1" scope. With the leaves on the trees it will be more difficult to pick out your target with peep sights. I have Tech Sights as well and they are fantastic. Mals

    sling set up

    I personally am not a fan of tube mounted slings. The tube was not intended to carry the weight of the rifle or the stress when slung up in position. I would add a stud to the front of the forearm. Just my $.02. Mals

    New thread about 50 yard 22lr groups. Specific to basic bulk rounds.

    My Marlin 60 will make 1 1/2" groups with CCI Blazer and 2" with Mini-mags at 100 yards. Mals

    M1 Garand @ 200

    A great 200 yard load is a 110 gr spire point over 46.5 gr of 4895. Very accurate and minimal recoil. Mals

    Bought a 22

    Congratulations on the 60. They are great rifles. I have tuned mine up and am getting 2" to 2 1/2" at 100 yards off a front bag. There are alot of small tricks to help increae the accuracy that don't cost a thing.

    Strange Hunting Yesterday---

    It's a good thing you did. My question is what would happen if you came across a terminally wounded deer out of season or when your tagged was filled. Is there any way to put the animal down without getting in trouble with the Game Warden? Just curious as I am not a hunter.

    Pull the action from the reciever and inspect the buffer, plastic piece at the rear of the action, or the recoil spring. It sounds like the bolt is not going into full battery. Look at the extractor grooves on each side of the chamber. If these get full of gunk it will prevent the bolt from...
