IL restricted places: day Care facility?

Hello everyone, I try to chime in whenever there are ACLDN questions on these forums, although I don't get a chance to follow them often. Regarding the ACLDN policy, please understand that legally, ACLDN cannot publically support people carrying guns illegally. To do so would open ACLDN up to...

    Self-Defence Insurance Coverage

Said by Joshua Scott: "Though they are working to try and expand (I am referencing ACLDN here), they may not have an attorney in your area. Travel for an attorney can eat a lot out of that $10,000 very quickly. Even if they do have one in your area, attorneys differ in their costs...

686, missing rear sight - worth the trouble?

You can buy parts directly from Smith and Wesson. I wouldn't offer more than $400 for the gun. By the time you are done, you will have another hundred bucks in to it.

    S&W K38 cylinder is stuck

If it is loose and unscrewing as Sam says, hold the ejector rod tight, pull back the hammer enough to release the cylinder bolt, and spin the cylinder to tighten the ejector.

    S&W K38 cylinder is stuck

Check to see if your ejector rod is loose. This is a common problem with S+W revolvers. If it is loose, tighten it up and likely the problem will go away. Otherwise, you might have some gunk in the cylinder release mechinism, which prevents the plunger from pushing the lock at the front of...

Armed Citizens Legal Defense Network, LLC

Thank-you guys. Don't forget the $165,000 in our legal defense fund, available for full-scale legal defense of a Network Member if prosecuted because of a legitimate act of self-defense. We hope to go several more years before having to tap into it, but it is there for us if needed.

Thanks Lee and BFC. Regarding being a stranger, between running the Network and still running the Firearms Academy of Seattle, along with more and more expert witness work and trying to cram in a round of golf now and then, (and don't forget the all too short summer months here in the Pacific...

Armed Citizens Legal Defense Network, LLC

"So this is basically a type of insurance, more or less? That's what I am gathering. " No, not really. Being a member of the Network is not like having insurance. Insurance protects you against unforeseen events, (like a tree falling on your house." The act of self-defense is a voluntary...

"They only pay up to 10K? That's not much, especially for such steep fees. A murder or manslaughter case can cost MUCH MUCH more...." No, the $10K is to get the member instant representation, to allow for an independant investigation of the event, and to interact with police and prosecution...

"They have only had one member involved in a shooting to date." Taking the questions or comments in chronological order. To clarify, our one instance of a member of the Network needing our services was not a shooting, but an act of self-defense without shots being fired. He was arrested for...

What Every Gun Owner Needs to Know about Self-defense Law

Ernie and Cosmo: I am well aware of the issue, and explained both sides of this issue in the booklet. In the end, it is up to the gun owner to decide if they want to report the crime which was perpetrated against them, and be listed as the victim and reporting party, or do they want to...
