    IPSC training video's?

Hey guys, thanks for the support and the mentions of the videos. Leo, Get all the info you can and compare it against each other and see what works for you. You may like one instructors style significantly more than another and that may help your shooting more. If you want a complete...

    Learning - Your Take?

Ron posted a great question "Are you learning a new skill or improving existing skills?" I think that maintenence also needs to be added. I think it would be very effective to work on a single issue per week in live fire, but, add a daily dryfire maintenence routine that addresses all the...

Admit it you are a gamer and proud of it!

Well Gabe let me tell you. ;) Once the difference is figured out between an open gun and a limited gun (assuming the have the same features except comp and scope) you generally are out around $400-$700 more for the initial open gun purchase. All the other gear required is the same...

    IDPA Classifier part 2

mpthole, thanks for your interest in my training. BTW, I have a money back guaruntee on all classes I teach. If you feel you didn't improve guess what? Its free! Of course we prove this on the clock and the targets and with over 4400 students trained world wide the average improvement ratio is...

Admit it you are a gamer and proud of it!

"But, I can't really keep up with the equipment race. " The equipment race ended in 1990-1991. I am sorry you feel this way, but, do you realize we are shooting in Open the equivalent guns and gear that won the 1990 world shoot in Austraila? Doug Koenig used a 9X21 Hi-cap compgun with a...

    IDPA -vs- IPSC comparisons..........

Another Okie, great post! Remember that the point isn't whether one sport or the other is better. They are shooting and that is what is important. As long as your on the range burning powder and your a safe shooter, I don't care what sports you compete in. Try them out, have some fun, meet...

Admit it you are a gamer and proud of it!

I am a gamer at everything I can game whether it is competition, defense, or work. The way I look at it is no matter what I am doing I want to do it as efficiently and aggresively as posible. The whole key is thinking of ways it hasn't been done before. Sure pisses off some people that write...

I can buy my way in, right?

Oh yeah! Very much so. The concept when I wrote the book is that anyone with some basic understanding of practical shooting will be able to grasp all the concepts. Jeeper, I don't have your dog. It may be one of my minions. Hmm, will have a talk with them and see if we can get it returned...

    Which ACOG for 3Gun ?

FYI: The eye relief on the TA11 is a significant advantage over the other ACOG. It doesn't seem like a big deal until your in a match and you have all sorts of weird positions. :)

    IDPA Notes

Grump, I tend to disagree with the other guys here. I think you can work on both at the same time. Besides it is generally not just a speed or accuracy issue. It is everything - grip, stance, tension, finger position etc... The first thing you need to be able to do is to call your shots. Do you...

    Isn’t that cheating?

"I guess I’ll finally be able to see the game for myself and be able to make my own decision on how to play." ;) Thats the way it is supposed to be. Good luck and I hope you enjoy yourself!

    Isn’t that cheating?

"You could call it the Steve Smith stage." Okay, that one almost had me puking! hehehehe BTW I think tacticibillies is way to much of a long word for the description of such characters. Maybe we should have a new name game thread. Personal favorites include: tactibillies TMF's = tactical...
