Thanks for the links, I've tried a couple, not having too much luck with their descriptions, don't want to order the wrong version.

I'm not an expurt but from what I see, I'd guess someone refinished or replaced the stock and got carried away with sanding it. My Mountie is a metal to metal fit when the lever is closed.
