On my xl650 I didn't like the design of how the bolt held down the rotating shell plate. Luckily that was a less than $10 fix from McMaster Carr for a bearing and 2 hardened washers.
I didn't like the spent primer cup design. Fortunately I was able to fix that with a relatively inexpensive...
You don't need that heavy-duty of a table for an office
You do for reloading
You have options that don't result in ending up in the dog house. Explore said options. You will come through!
I just want to clear something up-
Yes, LE Wilson does make quality products
However, their 30 carbine "case length gauge" is kind of a joke. You have to set your 30 carbine brass down on a table and then set the gauge over it to check the length. The only thing it does is check the length. It's...
Like any cartridge if it's not sized properly it will not fit into the chamber, not just bottle-neck brass! A case gauge is like having a convenient chamber on the reloading bench to check your setup. Some people just use the chamber of the gun, which is fine, but I like having dies conveniently...
Just got the 30 carbine die. Here it is compared to my Dillon 223 die. It's made out of a thicker piece of stainless steel. The Shooter's Box 30 Carbine die does attract a magnet while the Dillon die does not. Overall a very nicely made product.
FWIW I emailed Dillon before purchasing this die...
I load match grade 308 i have great accuracy results with on my Dillon xl650
I size/deprime separate
Then I run it through the press and prime, drop powder. I set the powder die a little low. I remove the shell from the press to trickle in the rest of the powder on my scale
Then seat bullet and...

It's even stainless steel! First one available on the market. The LE Wilson gauge is just a case length gauge. This gauge will work just like a pistol case gauge works.
I'm VERY happy...
I have a specific question in regards to using Wipeout bore cleaner, the foaming kind. Here's the situation. I have a CMP m1 Garand and a CMP m1903a3. I've routinely cleaned them with Ballistol for the 10 years or so I've had them.
Recently I decided to finally deep clean them, I've put lots...
^^^ agreed
The Hornady powder cop die is junk. May as well just visually check cases. It's about the same safety wise.
The only ones i'd ever use is the RCBS lock out die or the Dillon power check die.
I read it burns really hot, right? Or else i'd use it. Currently I use AA#9 for 30 carbine seems to not be as hot as the other 30 carbine powders. 1 burn rate number faster than H110. That's what I passed on it.
