10MM , wide varity of loadings , its a breeze to reload . Plus I live in a area where if I had to shoot some offend critter like a cougar , I rather only have to do it once .

For me its 10MM , 11.6gr of IMR 800-X , using Berrys plated 155gr bullets . Out of my S&W 1006 it clocks about 1450 ft/sec

I pretty much carry a Taurus PT1911 OWB , I mostly carry openly around Olympia and Shelton area thanks to people like Lonnie and Mainsail . If I feel like downsizing I go with a M&P40 or my S&W 3913 .

About damn time you guys were cut some slack , I think its totally wrong that WA would deny your guys the right to protect yourselves (my wife is lucky she has dual citizenship)

I do both , no one even notices here ... I tend to carry a full size 1911 especially suring the summer months . During the winter its easier to carry concealed because of weather .

For one 9MM Nato IS 9MM Para , secondly there is nothing wrong with a nice 3rd gen . I ended up trading a CZ75 for a 3913 that I nowuse for summer CCW

I'd be more worry about an attack on ammo , thanks to the Heller decision and that little phrase 'in common use' pretty much has killed off any direct outright ban of Homeland Defence Weapons .

Here in Wa , your CPL info is tied to your DL so it shows when they run it . Its also been my experience that the LEOs (especially the atate troopers) are WAY more friendly after they find out you have one .

Gee when did this change , in 84 I left with 6 and came back in 91 with 12 . All I had to show was a receipt for the ones I left with and of course the Form 4 for the ones I bought while living in Germany .

+100 on the Russian HP ammo , I've used my WSAR-10 as my HD /SHTF carbine for about 3 years .. but this year I did replace it with an Oly Arms M4gery , but not as my main deer rifle

EAA Witness are good weapons , I ALMOST bought one in 10MM because after 2 years of searching I couldn't find a used S&W 10XX series , fortunately I made side trip to a new gunshop and bought one from an employee there . Now I own a 1006 and a 1066 , as for ammo avaliability , 10MM in this area...
