Feeding a J Frame for Concealed Carry

In my S&W 340 PD, 4 rounds of Critical Defense .38+p, and the fifth round is a .357! If I have to shoot that 5th round, it might as well knock me out with the recoil.

    Kel-tec Sub-2000 .40 S&W

Is it true that the grip on the G19 version is shorter than an actual Glock 19?

    Do you reload?

    Ditto!

Anyone using the new-ish Ruger BX-25 mags?

I wanted to keep this going - I've had the same observations - the BC loader worked but bent a few rounds in the BX-25. When hand-loaded, I'm still getting 2 stovepipes per mag after. 3 loads through them.. Hoping for a great loader for them.

    My favorite Smith is:

Gotta say, the 4" 686-M has the nicest trigger. (Pay no attention to the little guy - S&W all the way.)

    St. Louis Gun Shops

Hotshot10: For using my 686 4" in IDPA, I chose a Safariland 568 Custom Fit for Revolvers Holster - STX plain blackk, Left Hand 568-09-412. It's not leather, but leather-y! $30 online.

Top Gun - the only place I've ever bought a pistol on impulse (a stainless H&K P7). Great folks.

    Budget AR15?

David Fortier in Shotgun News (Volume 65, Issue 2) last year wrote an article called, "Building an Ultra-Affordable AR." Bottom line: $119 complete lower, $299 upper, $120 bolt carrier assembly, $20 charging handle, $58 back up sight. Total $616. He also recommended a couple of scopes to match.

    Favorite Ruger .22lr SemiAuto

Beretta Jaguar was mentioned by Larry Vickers on one of his shows as a great semi-auto .22lr. There's also an Israeli Mossad back-story on it.

I was thinkin' about a bathroom gun

I wish IDPA would create a shower stage to test out some of these scenarios.

    New Kahr CW9 range trip.

Oh, sorry, I was thinking the PM9 / CM9, not the CW.

    New Kahr CW9 range trip.

Isn't this small enough for an in-pocket holster? I know the J-frame that several said it replaces is, and I thought it's supposed to be carry-able in the front pants pocket.

    Which Blued 6" S&W Revolver?

S&W 586 6." I have the stainless version - the 686 - and it's great at the range. If you're older than 40, I suggest getting one with the sight-mount holes already drilled, and attach a micro red-dot. Some brands have the specific mount to keep it low, but a rail-mount works also.

    Replacement sights for S&W 317?

Great thread. I will bring it back and stay on track: I've been thinking about replacing the sights on my 3.5" barrel 317. Because I can't get the standard sights dialed in. The Safety and Instruction Manual (I bought the gun new) merely shows which way the elevation and windage screws turn...
