one thing you do need to know, buy knives of GOOD quality stel. will hold an edge better and longer than the knives at the asian mom n pop stores.

what are you looking for first of all, colector, shooter? i look for shooters, first i look at the rifling, then overal apearance excluding stock, then function. i exclude the stock cause that can be found anywhere. i prefer shooters over colectors grade, but thats me...

i refinished mine with a mahogany red stain followed by tung oil cut with mineral spirits for a few coats, final coat was hand rubbed. came out so close to factory color with a tough finish. nbut stain color may vary woth yours. also, i stripped with 000 or 0000 steel wool and denatured alcohol...

found out what your doing wrong, after priming and charging the case, you then melt the lead into the case for a tight seal. remember safety first, use the stray kids running around to pour the lead, and do it outside.
