How many here didn't start shooting until they were an adult?

I didn't really shoot until I was 28. Got hooked.

    Your First Love

My first-ever firearm was a Taurus Model 66, blued steel, 4", 6-shot. I bought it in 1986. Paid $159, as I recall. Beautiful item. Still love it.

    FEG hi power

Yeah, I feel that way about a Swedish Mauser I sold off a while back. That was a great rifle.

    FEG hi power

FEG Hi-Powers are pretty solid. I got one a few years ago, and have had a lot of fun with it. (Also have an Argentine Hi-Power clone. It's nice, too.)

Three inch barrel revolvers, a weakness ?

Nice tribute to the Andrews Sisters!

Three inch barrel revolvers, a weakness ?

Love 'em. Have a few, in .38 special, .357, and one in .44 special.

    My Experience With Taurus

My first-ever firearm was a Taurus 66, bought in 1986. (God, I'm old.) Owned a few since then, including a couple used security-guard revolvers that are ugly as sin, but shoot fine. Guns from that era are pretty good, I've found. Beautiful bluing, nice and solid, accurate and reliable. That...

    Mid 90's Rossi 88

I've got three or four Rossi 5-shot .38 specials, 2" and 3". All are fun little shooters. Nothing super-special, but reliable, reasonably accurate, comfortable, and solid. (I'm kind of a sucker for that sort of gun.)

    THINK .38 SPECIAL (NOT .357)

I have a bunch of .38 Special revolvers, and love 'em all. My all-time favorite revolver for fun is a .38 stainless Rossi 851 3". I know it's no classic, but it's given me and others many enjoyable hours of shooting joy. Just adore that puppy.

    Rossi 92 in .357 mag

I had an old old old "Puma". Put about 30 rounds through it when the bolt cracked. Took years to get it fixed. Soured me on Rossi rifles (though I love their revolvers).

Another guy having dilemma choosing his first lever action cartridge

While I love my Marlins in .357, if I could only have one lever-action (God forbid!), it would be an older, good condition Marlin 336 in 30-30.
