I use One-Shot on my rifles because it doesn't leave an oily residue that can get gummy in cold temperatures.

I'm not particularly interested in the inner workings of a totally unrelated rifle at the moment. But, thanks for taking the time to post. :scrutiny:

I also don't see how it could be a trigger issue, as the bolt was half way back when the round discharged.

I don't see how it could possibly be a hang fire.

My Tikka T3 discharged while unloading it during a recent deer hunt. The bolt was half way back when it fired. Tikka wants to see the rifle, so I'll be shipping it off to them shortly. Has anybody heard of any similar issues with Tikka rifles?

Thanks for the suggestions. Don't know if I'll use the R1S for carry. I have others for that. This will likely be a range gun. At least for now.
