    Homemade SBS without tax stamp

Sam1911 I think the operative word in the statute is "shotgun shell" the secretary says has a sporting purpose. Remember this thread? I think this question has come up before, but for a rifle.

    Homemade SBS without tax stamp

Sure, must be careful, but it looks as if Taurus may be setting the precedent and although the Secretary can change their mind, an established precedent is hard to overcome. It seems apparent that a 12 gage handgun with rifling may be legal just as a 28 gage seems to be without a tax stamp.

Looks like I may have been right. http://cheaperthandirt.com/blog/?p=5980 28 gage is larger than .50.

    Jet bullets

I can agree that the reason why it may not have been tried before is because of cost exceeding benefits, but I wondered why it has not been at least experimented with, but I see now they did with artillery rounds in the past (after Wikiing the subject after someone said the Germans did some...

    Jet bullets

That is another thing, would these look like tracers?

    Jet bullets

Oops, my bad, I meant at THREE times the speed of sound.

    Jet bullets

I already said, to possibly either extend the range by keeping the bullt up to speed for longer, or to increase the speed without increasing recoil.

    Jet bullets

I forgot to mention the bullet would be propelled to supersonic speed out the barrel by normal means and would already be going supersonic when the jet engine part is activated. And yes it would be a ramjet or better yet a scram jet principle. At sea level the speed of sound is about 2,200 MPH...

    Jet bullets

I wonder why I never heard about this idea attempted, a bullet with a simplistic jet engine. Bear me out, it sounds more complicated than it sounds, this idea would have no moving parts. Ok we all know about the Gyrojet rocket bullets, but with a jet engined bullet half the propellant would...

That is if it is loaded. If unloaded and in a case I think it comes under the handgun transport statute of VA, but I have to look up the specifics.

In MD under parts of law (like tax law) a hotel room is not your "domicile" unless you have lived there a long time and list it as your only place of residence and as your address for taxes, voter registration, DL, etc. In MD a "domicile" is not necessarily the same thing as a "residence" in MD...

Places to shoot informally, not ranges, near Washington, DC

Not really near the DC area, but well worth the trip is Delmarva Sporting Clays on the Eastern Shore. As long as it is legal and as long as you clean up after yourself and it is not dangerous, they pretty much allow you to shoot at whatever you want. It is a good idea to call them to double...

    Gun range on a barge

Desidog, the idea is to place it in one place and maybe move it, if ever, only a few times a year maybe. As for the type of guns allowed on commercial vessels in a state's waters, well since we know commercial ships carry shipments of guns in from overseas to market and vice versa, I would like...
