    Barrel threading

Looks great, I'll be in touch. This will be a spotter profile barrel, so I'm assuming it will need to be cut back a little, but it doesn't look like you'll have an issue with that. Do you need any info about my suppressor other than thread pitch? Also, do you find that the lathe chuck leaves...

    Barrel threading

just bought a CZ 455 in 17hmr. Barrel isn't currently threaded, but would like it to be so. Are there any suggestions out there on folks that can do this work well? Been burned recently by a semi-local guy already on another project, so not wanting to deal with that again.

Another which 17hmr to buy question

Been poking at this search for options between other work projects today. Found a used CZ that fits my desire, but has a goofy (to me) thumbhole stock. With all the folks out there pulling off the OEM synthetic stocks, do those ever show up for sale?

Another which 17hmr to buy question

i have an older skeleton stock 77/17, but would like to add another to the herd. Dad has a RAR 17, and while acceptable, hasn't really bowled me over. Here's what my parameters are. Needs to be threaded for suppressor, or will be shipped off to be threaded. Would prefer SS Would rather not a...

    Bought an old Redfield today

@Bigbore.. I'm sitting here with a steel tube weaver V9-1 3-9. Says microtrak on the turret. Some blue worn off the turret caps. Dad brought it over for me to put on eBay, but I haven't made the time. That of any interest to you?

    Appleseed

Thanks for the info. Will look into some of those slings. Is there any disadvantage to shooting the program with a scope?

    Appleseed

With them, not so worried about the score, just the training and process. The 11yr old just starting in 4-h shooting sports, so I figure both will work together. The 8yr old still just shooting off bench, so may be a bigger challenge there.

    Appleseed

I have it as a goal to take the crew here to an Appleseed some day in the next year. Have begun outfitting us with equipment to make it fun and successful for all. I have 3 10/22s, one the Ruger anniversary rifle, one with tech sights and one with a scope to choose from. I have 2 kids, will be...

    Youth Rifle for Daughter

I bought my boy a TC hotshot. Decent little rifle, but wouldn't do it again. Found one of the ones with the finish that looks like stainless...thought would be better than the plain one. I'm not sure now. Shoots ok...have some ammo bought from the cmp that doesn't go on the first click...

    prepping a scope for paint

How about the plastidip products? I just did the hood of my polaris ranger, and seems to work good. It seems to rely on multiple coats, but can be peeled off if you don't like it.

Small inexpensive 380's, which Inexpensive model

I'd agree with the TCP comments. I've had one for about 6 years or better now, and for the class of gun that it is, it's pretty decent. They do have more recoil than you'd expect out of a 380, but it is manageable.

How do Nosler Accubonds perform at their rated minimum velocity?

I've seen where at longer range the accubonds perform much like a fmj...little hole in, little hole out, not much in between. This was out of a 257wby with factory loads on a whitetail this fall.

    Which to suppress

Has anyone with the set screw locking style gas blocks had an issue with messing up the threads where you lock and unlock your adjusting screw when you go from suppressed to un, then back again? Seems like that would make a bad spot on the adjustment screw...maybe you just set it once and run it
