Drove 30 minutes to a local indoor range wanting to have some fun with my new Coonan .357 mag and was so excited that I forgot the ammo at home and the gun store was fresh out of .357 mag ammo..........what a bummer.

I second the Hornady XTP 124s. I had problems with everything but those..after I loaded up a about 500 rounds I quit loading it cause I don't even shoot it anymore.
For most of the reasons people are saying above (Gander, Cabela's, Bass Pro etc) they are the reason that the mom and pop shops will stay around. They are the only ones getting and selling used guns. Plus, most mom and pop shops can sell below retail because they don't have a 25,0000 sq ft...
Full size Coonan .357 mag..strong side hip. Covered more than concealed because I usually carry it when I have a sweatshirt on in the winter. I'll carry it in the summer if I'm wearing a long shirt untucked. I'm 6'1 and 260 so it's not "too" heavy as I usually carry a full size 1911 when not...
I don't buy factory rounds and haven't in about 3 years or more since I started reloading. G.I. can's that are labeled and that's about it. If I find some great deal at a gun show and do buy some I could care less how the look or what packaging they are in as long as they go boom.
