SIG Opinions and it's not another KABOOM THREAD!!! LoL!

MY Sigs have been flawless. They have the best triggers out of the box of any gun I've owned.

    Is a 9mm sufficient for...?

9mm is suffient for self defense. With a high quality load and you doing your part a 9mm will do the job. Do a search and you'll find multiple threads about calibers.

    9mm Self Defence Ammo

Take look at the Federal HST. I like the 147gr. They performed very well in tests. The expansion and retained weight specs are impressive. You can get these at ammunitiontogo.com for around $18.95 a box of 50.

    Favorite Sig poll

I like my P229 and P226 equally. It might lean towards the P226 in the future as the word is that SIg's finally coming out with a .22 top end for the P226.

9mm +P 115gr JHP enough for home defence?

Check out the specs on Federal HST 147gr HP. The expansion and retained weight is impressive to say the least.

    H&K USP 9mm for $350

That's a smoking deal on that gun. Jump on it and don't look back. The worst that can happen is that you don't like it and sell it for more money then you paid. You could easily get $500 for it.

Anyone Familar with Haugen Leather Holsters?

Top notch gunleather at a reasonable price and decent turnaround. I had received an Haugen Equalizer for my P226 back in Decemeber. Took about 8 weeks from order to delivery.

What 9mm (ammo) does your Sig226 enjoy? +P?

The P226 is rated for +P. I've shot 124gr +P Gold Dots and Federal HST through mine with no issues. I haven't shot the Remington JHP though. I had problems with the Remington JHP's in a P220 that I had a while back. I'm sure the issues were with the load, not the gun. For the range I've shot...

    Sig/HK Debate and Price Question

Don't count out the P226. If your looking for a recreational gun the P226 is an excellent gun. The Sig triggers are definately better than the HK. Both are excellent guns and very reliable. On that note I usually carry my P2000 as I find it easier to carry all day long due to it being lighter...

    S&w 520

There new 520 is a L frame with a carbon steel frame. The actual weight on the gun is 33.85oz.

    S&w 520

I don't carry my Revolvers. I use them primarily for range time and for my wife as home defense gun. It may be a little large for concealed carry. It all depends on your size. I'm a big guy and have carried a government sized 1911 in the past with no problems. I would go with a 686+ 2" for...

    S&w 520

That's the same gun I have. It is not hard shooting at all. I shoot mainly 38 SPL out of mine. There is a noticiable difference shooting .357 mag. All in all it is very managable. With so many different weights listed on different sites, I'll weigh the gun later for you and give you a more...

    S&w 520

I do find it a little odd that S&W would issue an addtional model using the same model number so close to the issue of the carbon steel, L frame based version of the 520. If it were me I'd email or call S&W just to verify that they actually did produce such a gun. The "lightweight" version...

    S&w 520

I did click on your original link and the gun listed is the 520 which I have. I'm pretty sure the weight is listed incorrectly on that web page. The 520 was reissued for a short time. It is a carbon steel revolver, 7 shot, Titanium cylinder, Hi-Viz sights, wood grips. I don't think they issued a...
