handguns selling like hotcakes in my area

I was in the LGS this morning and it was packed. People were buying not just the usual just looking customers like me. I got a 500 ct box of Blazer 22lr, checked out the holster aisle and left. I was number 4 in line to pay and there 5 more behind me when I paid.

    Good place to move?

I lived at Hill AFB, which is in Layton, UT, and I really liked it. I was a member of the Wasatch Shooter's Association while I lived there and met some good folks. Gun prices where good there also. I don't know about the job climate in that area now. I still have friends there and it was my...

    What's YOUR most prized handgun?

The SA 1911A1 is my favorite: The S&W .38 is the queen. She is serial numbered in 1947 and all the numbers match.

Ever have someone make fun of your guns at the range?

I wouldn't go back either. That's what I like about my club. Everyone is friendly. About 3 months I just showed up for one of the pin shoots, never done it before and I had blast. there was badgering but it was friendly. I haven't missed one since.

    Question from the new guy

The .38 has a two inch barrel. I bought the HiPoint after reading an article in Shooting Times, I think, just to check it out. I got the .40 and it's a big sucker. I've put around 250 rds thru it with no problems.

    Question from the new guy

weregunner, the left side of the barrel is stamped AMADEO ROSSI S.A. When you flip out the cylinder stamped on the inside of the frame is M685. The right side has a Rossi stamp and between the cylinder and trigger is an Interarms stamp. .38 SPECIAL is stamped on the left side of the barrel. I...

    Question from the new guy

I found this forum while searching for info on an Interarms Rossi .38 Special I picked up at a local pawn shop. I can find stuff on Rossi and Interarms, but, not together. Anyone know about this?
