I wonder if the guns in the movie were real guns.......or fake non-firing replicas. It is hard to tell because they do look like real guns. The Colt 1911's during the prison break look absolutely real, as does the Colt Monitor. Russ

Both cylinders are Pietta. I just find the big difference in pricing strange. I would have expected Cabelas price to be on the higher side as opposed to Dixie. Russ

I want to order a spare cylinder or two for my Pietta 1860. I see that Dixie gun works has the 1860 cylinders for $91.00 each.......Cabelas has the same at only 49.00 each (!) Why such a big difference in pricing? Are the cylinders from Dixie a better quality than those sold at Cabelas? Many...

Here is my Pietta 1860. While I'm here, can anyone tell me if the 1860 brass trigger guard sold at Dixie G/W website....will fit this gun? Not to clear in my photo....the trigger guard has a minor casting flaw that bugs me.....and since these things are not to expensive I'd like to replace it...

Specifically, the cylinder bolt notches. I notice they are roundish in shape.....oblong. Why do these guns NOT have a notch "lead-in" like all other revolvers? Obviously something unique to the guns cocking action, a primitive design maybe......but why? Just curious. Russ

It's up to you of course, but you might want to remove the "loaded-chamber" indicator and replace it with one of the steel inserts available. It looks to me like the spring-loaded chamber indicator is getting stuck in place and having an effect on your feed issues. I replaced my LCI with a...

Count me as another that never has had an interest in owning AR's.........or even AK's for that matter. That being said, I'm certainly NOT a "fudd" whom looks down upon them. They are terrific for those that like (& love) them. They're just not my thing. I'm more into WW2 type semi auto rifles...
