    reverse percussion conversion?

I have a 45 conversion cylinder in my Ruger Old Army, and it's a great combo. Makes a lot of sense. What about converting a cartridge gun to cap n ball........... would open up a whole new world of fun..... hmmmm.......... anyone have thoughts? Steve T

I have two ROAs, and a 357 bisley new model Blackhawk. Can I switch the Bisley grip frame, hammer etc over to one of the ROAs without much trouble? Anyone here who's done this have any advice? Or, another option is buying grip frame, hammer, screws from Brownells or Midway. Any advice here...

What's YOUR favorite? Colt 1860 Army .44 or Remington 58 New Army .44 and why?

for actually shooting? Ruger Old Army. No question. My early 70s Lyman Uberti 1858 is nice but it feels like a toy in comparison. The Ruger is no toy.

    ROA 5 1/2" adjustable sights

This old 2002 news release from Ruger about the fixed sight 5 1/2" guns doesn't list it as a model.. http://www.ruger.com/news/2002-06-10.html

    ROA 5 1/2" adjustable sights

I've read that they were made, and are rare. Anyone here have one, or seen one? Any pics? I'm considering sending a pair of 7 1/2" ROAs, one black, one stainless, to Dave Clemens for his 7 1/2" > 5 1/2" conversion. Just curious about the model if it did exist. rockdoc

    Kirst Konverter ROA question

45 Dragoon, Again, thanks for your knowledgeable replies. I will of course check to see what Kirst has to say, and add that to the mix of info thoughts and ideas I get from the forum. I posted here because there are a bunch of great fellow cap and ball and ROA nuts here. rockdc

    Kirst Konverter ROA question

Thanks for all the great replies, and for the concern. Believe me, I am super careful, and I appreciate the serious nature of reloading. I've been at it for 14 years now, and although I've read everything I could get my hands on, I'm always learning. Turns out the ROA (Ruger Old Army) is by far...

    Kirst Konverter ROA question

I'm about ready to start loading 45 Colt for the Konverter I'll soon be getting for my ROAs. Does the Kirst cylinder take full length 45 Colt cartidges? I'll be starting with 255 SWC from Reloads n more in Stoneham MA over Unique. rockdc
