    any people of color?

The biggest problem with most Americans is we can't let go of our enemies when we go to war against them. We still have a problem as a nation with Native Americans, and Hispanics after our wars with them, and we still have some animosity toward certain Asians. We don't seem to dislike Germans...

    44 mag

The Uncle Mike's does fit a lot of guns, but it was the only shoulder holster I could find locally that fit the four inch Trackers my wife and I own. The retaining strap is adjustable, and it does hold the revolvers in the holster, as long as the retainer is snapped.

    44 mag

I have an Uncle Mike' Sidekick. The strap I am referring to is the one that holds the revolver in the holster. If it's not properly snapped, the revolver will fall out of a horizontal holster. I know, I've had mine fall out.

Carrying extra rounds for a revolver.

"RougeLeader What would you propose if that wire gets hung up on your pants??? Steve" I'm not sure what you are asking about. If you are talking about speed strips, these are plastic strips. Other than that, could you elaborate?

    44 mag

If you opt for a shoulder holster, I would recommend a vertical, not a horizontal holster. At least with a vertical holster, you don't have to worry about your handgun falling out if you either forget, or manage to not snap the strap when you bend over.

Carrying extra rounds for a revolver.

I use speed loaders for initial reloading, but I'm also going to purchase speed strips for extra ammo carry that won't roll around in the pocket. I would suggest you get a shoulder holster for the Ruger. Unless you get an ultra-light .44 mag, they are heavy and if you carry for hunting, or...

Most Intimidating Gun Cocking Sound in HD Scenario

For sound only, the cocking of an older single action revolver is pretty ominous. The multiple clicks do catch a persons attention when done somewhat slowly so each click is distinguishable.

    Things start to move.....

Rods detect black and white, cones detect color. In a room with very little light, we see black and white. If a little bit of light enters the room, the cones are able to pick up the light and we see color wherever the light hits. Since there is very little predawn and post-dusk light, our...

My Dads got a gun but he doesn't Know how to use it.

Wondering if the OP's dad is a war vet. Many of them, like my granddad, didn't like guns after being involved in WWI. He never talked about his service. The OP's dad may have it for defense purposes. He may not actually like having it in the house, but knows that having it there for an...

    Survival Rifle Choices

The Rossi also has a 3 barrel combo in many configurations. There are full length combos as well as youth combos. My wife has a youth combo and fits in a case that is about 2 feet long. All three barrels and the stock fit in the case. It is a single shot, but can be loaded quickly with...

    45 lc for squirrels?

I guess this wouldn't be any worse than my cousin using a 10 gauge shotgun and 3 1/2 inch magnums for hunting squirrel. Unfortunately, the couple he shot were practically vaporized.

    Not In Kansas Anymore

Been a lot of different places with my 20 years in the Air Force. In Michigan, I could get a handgun, but I had to get a "pistol purchase permit," and then had to register it with the local police. In California, before 1990, I could buy a handgun from the local gun shops (Victorville) without...
