    Stripping Browning Buckmark for cleaning

I have a dandy Buckmark Camper model, got it cheap for $200. I later found out why it was so cheap, the dang thing was FILTHY! I mean, guns get dirty, but this had soot and carbon in places you couldn't imagine. I found and printed out disassembly/reassembly instructions and tore into it. It...

Browning 1911-380: Important Info for Buyers

THIS, is interesting! I have a French MAB pistol in .32acp that has feeding issues. I never considered it might be my ammo. I feel an experiment coming on.....

I Passed up the opportunity to shoot a nice bull elk yesterday morning at my house.

I can only dream of living in a place like that, and harvesting an elk is on my bucket list too. But I also feel it wrong to shoot an elk or deer in the yard. I'd consider them guests or visitors, and they deserve to be respected and watched/admired.

    ••making bullets from brass cases••?

I'm a member of an awesome gun club, and I can usually pick up brass until I can't stand it anymore. Always come home with scads of it. Have a solid 15 gallons of 9mm brass, and nearly 15 gallons of .223 also. Plus lots of .40, .45acp, .380, 10mm, .30-06, .270, .243, .300WinMag, 7mmRemMag, .308...

Got lucky again - 100lbs of wheel weights

I've never had any trouble with zinc weights, I don't know why people stress out so bad over them. Zinc melts at a substantially higher temperature than lead, so they just float on top with the rest of the garbage. Use a Lyman thermometer, keep the melt temp under control, scoop off the garbage...

    ••making bullets from brass cases••?

I'd dearly love to get into swaging, but the startup costs are just too much. But I asked on the Castboolits forum for some samples and some guys were kind enough to send me several, Fred may have been one of them. But they are quite cool and very impressive! If it wasn't so costly to start up...

    New inland M1 carbine

My best shooting M1 is a Plainfield. No idea of mfg date but I'm guessing early 70's. Also has the Ultimak handguard and a red dot optic, plus a flashlight.

Just remembered, a friend shot a intruder with shotgun years ago

From FIVE FEET? Come on, the shot is still one lump in the plastic wad at five feet. Hang up a dead pig then blast it with a 12 gauge and birdshot from five feet away and see what happens. Your armspread from fingertip to fingertip is longer than 5 feet, unless you're only 5 feet tall.
