    USGI .300 BLK Cartridge???

There is no way to know from the case. It is possible that someone took a 5.56mm round, pulled the bullet, trimmed and resized it with the original primer intact, and then loaded it for 300 BLK. That being said, Federal makes 300 BLK brass and ammunition, so that could be a 300 BLK military...

How much better is the H&K p30, than the Walther PPQ

P30 is worse than a PPQ. I have been struggling to find a better carry pistol than the HK P7 PSP. I love how it is safe when you put it down, but ready to fire when you draw it. I love that I can shoot it better than most other pistols due to the trigger and sights. The only centerfire pistol...

    New Remington R51 - 3913 killer?

I don't know why anyone would give any company a free pass, whatever that even means. But this is a handgun, so it would make sense to compare it to other Remington handguns. It turns out that in a large company there are different groups who work on different things. The R1911 is a great 1911 -...

    H110 or lil'gun for .300blk

A1680 works well with supersonic bullets 150 grains and over. H110 is better than Lil'Gun (for 300 BLK) as it is more temp stable.

Convince me to buy an H&K P7-M8

If I could shoot a Glock 19 anywhere near as accurately as a P7, I would carry the G19. I struggle with the P7 being heavier and holding 8+1 rounds - yeah, those are limitations. But my groups are less than 1/2 the size of any Glock, and it is much safer - considering that no kid would ever be...

NAA mini revolvers .22mag vs .22lr

I own a magnum with the 1-5/8 inch and a 22lr with a 1-1/8 inch. If I had nothing, I would get a pug magnum 1 inch. 831 average for 40 grain magnum, 1-1/8" barrel. 620 average for 40 grain 22lr, 1-1/8" barrel. I would call 211 fps or 29% gain a pretty big difference. If the .22lr go about 15...

Oak Harbor, WA rejects motion to restrict carry in city council meeting

"the gun free school zone law exempts such public meetings from the gun free zone law." That is not true. There is no such exemption. That being said, CCW holders are except from the gun-free school zone in their home state. But there may be state laws.

Oak Harbor, WA rejects motion to restrict carry in city council meeting

I am just a bit extra surprised when men are afraid of tools. A woman who likes guns is impressive. A man who does not feel comfortable with guns, dogs, can't start a fire, or drive a manual transmission - that is weak.

Can we present a united front re: the "Modern Sporting Rifle"?

I don't like calling them "sporting" rifles - as I don't use them for sport. Some people do, but they are weapons to me. I think we just need to make the case that we have the right to protect ourselves. I strongly disagree with promoting the concept that guns need a "sporting purpose" to be ok...

What makes a cartridge optimized for short barrels?

Yes, this is the answer. Something like a 220 Swift has a lot of capacity and a small bore, so it benefits more from a longer barrel. http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2011/04/overbore-cartridges-a-working-definition/

    Good 300BLK uppers?

    Remington...what happened to them?

The problem is you are trying to spend the same amount as you did 25 years ago. It does not work that way - there is inflation. A Model 700 that cost $160 in 1960 would be $1200 now. And if you go buy a $1200 Remington 700 new today, it will be every bit as nice as the 1960 model. A $450...

    .300 blk build help

I don't know anyone making that but short barrels require a pistol length gas system, so the front sight would have to be a dummy like a Dissipator. Also that barrel in the photo is a terrible design - it is thin near the rifle then get fatter - the opposite of what makes sense. Also the...
