Deer Hunter,
You are referring to the .223 12 round mags, right?
I plan on using one in my converted Saiga too, pending the feedback on the blank vs. real ammo question.
Where did you order yours from?
Does anyone know if ALL 12 rd steel Galil mags are for firing blanks only?
I've seen them for sale on a couple of different websites...some specify blanks only, and others do not, indicating that they are for standard ammunition.
Has anyone else noticed that .380 ammo appears to be the best priced cartridge?
I remember not too long ago that 9mm was the best deal, but that doesn't seem to be true currently. Weird.
Well...they're refinishes were top notch, I wasn't charged extra for any special attention areas. I told them about the rust and was told "don't worry about it."
My concern is that the rust may still be active or able to spread underneath the refinish.
I had a 1911 with some rust on the beavertail which I had refinished with Birdsong's black-t. I expected the rust to be buffed off before refinishing, but instead it apears they simply did their usual process and refinished over the rust.
I had a similar experience with rust on a S&W M60...
It's a nice gun...but I fired one shot from it and needed six stitches in the webbing between my trigger finger and thumb. I had too high of a grip and that razor sharp slide did a number on me.
I would like to get a .410 coach shotgun (sxs) and cut of the stock to make a pistol grip and cut down the barrel to resemble a howdah pistol.
Are .410 shotguns rifled? And if so, would I still have to pay a $200 tax stamp to do this? I know there are 45 Colt/.410 revovlers and derringers...
