I used to like my Desante Nemesis back when I weighed 220+, but now that I've lost weight with illness and am at about 150 I find that it prints badly unless I take considerable care in placing other items in the pocket with it.
It used to only print a bit in one pair of pants, now it prints...
Sounds to me like a good reason to keep privately bought firearms private.
Sheriff's depts sometimes do dumb things. My local one had to have an "outside inventory" done after they were unable to return a murder victim's possessions. During the inventory a bomb was discovered in the evidence...
I couldn't shoot mine very well with the stock grip, and I even considered selling it, although I really liked it.
I put on the standard Super RedHawk grip and shoot it much better now. I prefer the smaller grips for carry too.
Good gun if you need something small(ish) to defend against fangs...
Governments do not have rights, they have powers. Rights are inherent to our situation as free persons. Powers are granted to the government at the consent of, and for the benefit of, the governed.
Can anyone confirm the 250 lumen burn time, and with what batteries? That doesn't seem right, but it'd be great if it were. My Fenix really chews batteries on turbo mode.
If its a RIGHT, then how is it "idiotic"?
My understanding is that Rights are like muscles, and if you don't exercise them they atrophy. This case would tend to show that is true.
mp510- I would greatly appreciate a copy of that letter.
I would like to know where and why they draw such a line. I have seen a reproduction matchlock "key-gun" kit and wonder why that is legal (still on market through reputable channels) vs a Companion. Is it age of the design, BATFE whim...
That would be the finger on the bang-switch...
The sad thing is the only gun education most people will get is "stop - don't touch - tell an adult". While that might be good for younger kids, its a crying shame that high-school students aren't taught at least the most rudimentary gun safety...
I've never had anyone react offended or surprised by my knife and I carry a CRKT M16-14 which looks pretty nasty. I've pulled it out dozens of times to help friends cut open our society's now ubiquitous anti-theft packaging, a purpose for which this tool truly excels with its tanto point.
I...
Mt. Lions absolutely exist in the Appalachians. I know an individual who gathered scat, had a biologist he knew test it, and the DNR (or whatever its called in Vermont) still would not accept it was from a Mt Lion in their area, said he faked it.
In Zion National Park I saw evidence that a Mt...
I find it truly astonishing that some members here feel a person should be detainable indefinitely, without trial, simply because they were arrested on criminal charges. Whatever happened to due process? If he can be denied due process, then so can I or you.
I have read of people using a 50bmg for hunting. I suppose with the right load it could be usable for long range shots on large game if you are hunting from a stand near your car. I would expect to loose some meat, but a sane choice of ammo should not "blow apart" large game. Check local hunting...
