Salpalinja is a series of fortifications in Finland, and they are located on the russian border. It was build in WWII and it was meant as a line of defence against the russian invasion.

Here the approximate response time from police is 20 minutes, and it varies from lapplands 1-2 hours to larger cities 2-5 minutes. So if there are 2 BG and they take turns stabbing you 30 times in one minute, you only approx. suffer 600 wounds :barf: That is if someone called the police.....

If you need serious accuracy, you can not go wrong with Sako varmint. The next step would be a competition grade anshcutz or similar.

So what do you consider to be adequate accuracy for assault/battle rifle?? I think 3-4 MOA is more than enough with iron sights. The assault rifles I have shot (Valmet/sako) could shoot approx. 1 MOA groups from bench.

If the local laws permit, how about a silenced slide/pump action rifle using subsonic ammo. That could solve the hearing problem. Could be and propably is a stupid idea :D

I would say that if the supply lines and flanks are secured, full steam ahead. There are some risks but they are worth taking. I also think Guderian would be on Turkish border by now :D The sands of time for Saddam are running low.
