    New Ruger Redhawk 44s

The grips for the *SUPER* Redhawk and GP 100 are interchangeable. The regular Redhawk uses different grips. There are 2 different versions of those as well. Most are a standard square butt style, but some have a round butt configuration. The 4" 44 Mag should be a square butt. Be careful to get...

    Target Records...............

I like the idea of having them all together in a binder. Currently I have a stack in my loading bench drawer.

.30 Carbine Blackhawk v. .327 Fed Mag Blackhawk

.... which uses moonclips, so that taper crimp isn't really going to be an issue. WOOPS: this was addressed two pages ago.

.30 Carbine Blackhawk v. .327 Fed Mag Blackhawk

It's worth noting that the 30 carbine velocity is from a 7" barrel vs a 5" for the 327 Mag. Two inches either way is going to change those numbers for both rounds. Not exactly apples to apples unless they both were fired from the same length barrel.

    Target Records...............

I do the same. I've got a stack of targets marked with the load, gun and distance recorded. All my shooting is done off hand unsupported so I don't bother marking that down. Once in a while (as in the target under the trigger guard of the FA97) I'll mark semi rapid fire , or rapid fire. If...

    .41 Magnum vs .44 Magnum

I've also heard a few people have had the 44 Special FA97 reamed out to 44 mag (I'm NOT recommending this) and that the gun handles it just fine, but the factory won't chamber it in 44 mag. I'm sure you can go pretty hot with the 44 specials as well. I can tell you that full power 41 Mag...

    .41 Magnum vs .44 Magnum

I came into the 41 Mag fold a little reluctantly. Was looking for a used FA 97 locally, and of the calibers available ,41 Mag was my last choice. Turns out one came up for sale about 40 miles away (FA's are rare as hens teeth here in these parts) ... of course it was in 41 Mag, BUT it came...

    Cantilever Barrel for 10/22 Takedown

How long is the barrel/scope combo minus the suppressor ? I like the looks of that set up but need to stay under 25 inches.

    The .45 Xtra Short

Yes, and you don't even have to cut down your own brass as the 38 Long Colt and 38 Shor Colt brass already exists! I may be mistaken, but don't some competition shooters use moon clipped 38 Short Colt brass as they don't wobble around as much and load faster than the longer brass when doing...

    The .45 Xtra Short

I would also think that it's a more efficient use of powder in the smaller case vs. a 45 Colt length case. Less powder to get the same performance. Hodgen shows a 45 Colt starting load for a 200gr cast at 5.9 gr of HP 38 for 761 fps (7 1/2" barrel) I'd wager that Bob's 45 Xtra short load...

    Going rate for Colt Python

Haven't been keeping track of prices lately, but I know the one I have is not for sale. Its a fine shooter and been shot and carried a plenty.

    today's best carry revolver

Thanks!! and a bargain compared to some high end 1911's. :)

    today's best carry revolver

If I choose to carry a double action revolver these days I like this one. Eight rounds of moon clipped 357 Magnum in a surprisingly easy to shoot platform, and easy to carry with a good holster/belt combo. This disappears under an untucked T shirt, and the weight is easily handled...

    Quick help needed. H&R 22 Special...at Gunshow, $600

Cool little revolver but $500-$600 is crazy money for one of those. $400 is "all the money" for one IMO. and even that's kind of high.
