Well thanks to everyone would made positive comments. And for all you who said use the search bar.......thanks i guess.....I knew a little about them from general knowledge and peeking in on threads every once in a while, I just wanted to know out of those 3-4 choices what everyone thought.

So i'm thinking of buying a 1911 in the near future, however I do not know too much about companies that make them, or how reliable they are. I know there's Colt, RIA, Springfield, Taurus (do not want), and many more I just do not know about. So please add your input about companies...

I guess it always depends on what fits your hand, I chose XD just because I bought one 2 months back and have shot probably like 600 rounds through it, no one FTF, FTE, etc.
