    Casting bullets

USSR, Check this out: http://www.clarkcustomguns.com/rowland.htm Even more than what I get from my M625JM! And, from a 1911!

    Casting bullets

Yes, 41, that is from one of those moulds! I have several including a 454640 that I was the Honcho for on castboolits.gunloads.com! Oh, and by the way, I have a load for that bullet that pushes it out of my M625JM 4" revolver @ 1100fps! How is THAT for 45ACP performance, Don? ;)

When you reload, what do you reload for?

I have often wondered about shotgun reloading. With cheap ammo at $3 a box though, not sure I can load cheaper and I shoot maybe, 10-20 loads a year, maybe. That was the only reason I left that out of the poll! ;)

how is bullet casting saving you money?

I must not be too far from you, although, I can't remember seeing a white gas pump around here anywhere in a long, long, time. Lagrange County maybe?

how is bullet casting saving you money?

I get my lead either free or as much as $20/100lb (5 gallon bucket). At a recovery rate of 90% free is still free all the way to $20/90lbs. 90*7000=630000 630000/230=2739.13 bullets for free or as much as $20 630000/160=2927.5 bullets for free or as much as $20 630000/125=5040 bullets for...

What is the best load combo for .45 colt blackhawk and Rossi 92

Personally, I go with 9.1gr of a surplus powder that is a lot like Unique, under any lead bullet I cast, 250gr to 285gr, for use in my Puma rifle and my Ruger 45 convertible when the 45 Colt cylinder is in it. Also, I have used John Linebaugh's loads, and they are heavy to say the least, in...

    Casting bullets

Thanks ALL! I like to reload and cast almost as much as I like to shoot! :) Here is another setup I have for smelting. This one is from an indoor range bullet trap. LOTS of jacketed stuff in this mess! Video, click on it to watch: Video, click on it to watch: Video, click on it to...

    Casting bullets

Questions answered via photo journalism! The last there is a 45 Colt load that you will not find on any commercial shelf. THAT is the best part of casting and reloading. p.s. I have some videos/pictures of doing range scrap from an indoor trap too, if you are interested. :D

What reloading press do you use??

Jake, Get those presses out of storage and find a relative or friend that could reload and get them started! Pass it on!

What reloading press do you use??

Wil, The exercise was to see if the "Smurf" crew had a hold on a larger variety of people than on another forum. Over there, the "BLUE" crowd dominates and the "red" ones, not so much. :D

When you reload, what do you reload for?

I don't know, how would you like to categorize it? Just explain it in the reply, friend! ;) Honestly, two situations could apply. Rounds per session, which is what I do now because I can, or, because of needs, competition. The time spent would be more determinate on HOW you reload those...

What reloading press do you use??

Hey, Rule, good poll. Where would you put the "other" category when trying to decipher what went where with the other groups? Case in point: I load on a Dillon and have Lee equipment too. If I just select other, my votes are lost for the individual presses. Not complaining, just trying to...

When you reload, what do you reload for?

This is quite true if you only have a "deer rifle"! Some of us have those black, politically incorrect ones though that need to be fed! Oh, and don't forget about the good old M1 Garand that I bought several weeks ago! :) Thanks for the info and keep it coming!

When you reload, what do you reload for?

    ALRIGHT! Keep it going folks!

When you reload, what do you reload for?

Just a quick question: Those of you who roll your own ammo; when you do roll your own, what do you load for MOST? Rifle? Pistol? Inquiring minds have to know! Thanks in advance!
