Old Faithful Holsters... Anybody Tried One Out Yet??

I just received my kit. I am pleased so far, because they shipped quick, the price was reasonable, and upon initial inspection, everything is made out of high quality material. When I find the time to put it together, I will post pics. The fact that DIY is an option is something I like about the...

    Overall 6.5 grendel opinion

Thanks everyone for your advice. I think after all my research, I will go with the G, because of interchangeability with my current 5.56 AR. A 5pack of AR 15 uppers can be had for cheap(ish), so I'll get that and build a few different guns that can work on my current lower. Despite the G's flaws...

    Overall 6.5 grendel opinion

If I use it for hunting, it would only be for deer or antelope. When I hunt elk, I use my .30-06 and it does just fine.

    Overall 6.5 grendel opinion

I'm wanting to do a new AR build this year, and I've narrowed it down to .308 and 6.5 grendel. I have only read on the grendel, no actual experience with it but I haven't found a lot of negative threads or articles on it. The .308 is obviously a proven choice, now I just want to ask if anyone...

    6.5 Grendel Dies?

Yeah I have heard the same thing about the Lee 6.5 Grendel dies. I know that Lee has good products, but for whatever reason their grendel dies are not pleasing many people. I think I'm going to take a look at Redding, I've heard nothing but good about those, and although they're more expensive...

    6.5 Grendel Dies?

I'm going to build a 6.5 grendel AR this winter, any recomendations on die sets? I have no experience with this round but from reading I find it interesting and would find any experience and advice sharing helpful, thank you

    OAL for .223 (tolerance question)

Yeah it's a 16 in yhm diamond build I finished last year. I went through some wolf ammo and hated it, so I'm getting into reloading to make my own gun specific ammo. Wolf is SHTF stuff in my opinion. If my lower powder loads create a lot of fouling, I'll just push a few rags through and drive...

    OAL for .223 (tolerance question)

Thanks for the advice. I am stocked up on both powders, h335 and blc 2. I'll see which performs better but will probably save the blc2 for my future purchase of a 7.62 x 51. as to the load I'm using, I'm strictly going off of hornadys manual, starting low and working up as I've read to do. 21.6...

    Loading to the lands question

So the lands thing is something I'll worry about and try to do when I start reloading for my rem700 30-06? Thanks for all the clarification.

    Loading to the lands question

I am very new to reloading, I have made several loads to see which works best in my rifle, but have yet to test them. I am going off suggestions in the reloading book, using their powder charges, oal, bullet and whatnot. I have read a lot on this website about loading to the lands, or just off...

    OAL for .223 (tolerance question)

I'm using the Hornady 55gr SPs. I'm just in the process of figuring out what loads work, so if that load (OAL 2.200, 21.6 H335, 55gr SP) seems odd, I guess I'll find out. It is a load out of the hornady book. That particular load is the one I had a question about, because it is the first one I...

    OAL for .223 (tolerance question)

I think I understand it now, thanks a ton!!!

    OAL for .223 (tolerance question)

so what is a normal spread? I'm assuming then that everything is ok with my oal then?

    OAL for .223 (tolerance question)

I'm sure this question is going to sound stupid to you seasoned reloaders, but this is my first batch so I am trying to be extra careful, and I trust all of you out there. The suggested OAL for the load I am doing is 2.200, I'm using 21.6 gr of H335, and SR-Mag primers. Anyway I was wondering...

What clever little things have you "invented or discovered" that you can share?

Drying rack I bought the hornady LNL sonic cleaner. I love the cleaning that it does, but it takes a while for the brass to dry, so I took a small plank of wood, covered it with a dish towel, and nailed ten rows of ten nails in each row, to put the cleaned brass on since I do 100 at a time when...
