I don't think it's a "Q". It's on all the S&B brass brass I have also.
The one on the left is one of the steel cases. You can see the different color around the primer pocket. The right one is regular brass. I noticed it cutting the chamfer on the primer pocket. I can't see any...
I'm not a fan of Titegroup myself but I was loading fairly soft (4.4gr). Maybe that's the problem but I noticed a lot more smoke and residue on my gun from it than I do with my Solo 1000 loads. Maybe loaded closer to max charges it would clean up but for now, the Titegroup will sit on the...
I've gotten pretty good with my Lee hand press but there's NO way I could do 200 rounds, start to finish in an hour. I'm not sure I could do 75. I reload in steps. One day I resize/deprime 300 to 500 rounds, on another day I'll expand/flare. Another evening is priming. Finally, I spend a...
Alot of revolver shooters favor Federal primers as they use "softer" cups. As to the Lee, I dunno. Mine says the same thing in the manual. No big deal to me, I don't use anything made by Federal except the occasional piece of brass I rat up.
The reason is mass detonation. Maybe if you only...
I just received 2,500 of their .45acp 185 SWC's today. I haven't loaded any but they look to be very nice. I'm looking forward to making some go away. Oh, and they are the H&G 68 profile and not the short stumpy design some are using.
Yep, slug it. I've got several CZ-52's. The only barrel that I have that is the "correct" size of .308 is an aftermarket one. My largest slugs out at .313! It really doesn't seem to matter to it though. It will still make nice groups with factory ammo.
Once you know what size you need...
I like 16.5's. I do have one with the 18.5 but had to break it in with surplus to be able to run factory with it. Grab one of each. They aren't that expensive and are easy to change so you can tune for the ammo you are shooting.
Just a little heads up. I thought I'd pass along a bit of a mistake I made with my polishing media (fine ground corn cob). When I went to add some Turtle Wax, it sort of went "glug". My mistake for not pouring it into the cap first. Anyway, now the media is quite airy and just sort of...
My dad was given a Titan chambered in 25 auto. The only other marks on it are FIE. Corp - Miami Fl. and a serial number. It has black plastic grips and what appears to be very cheap black paint for the finish. I've tried Google and have come pretty much so dry. The only thing I've found is...
AA#7 is my current favorite in 9mm right now. I also load Titegroup but prefer the #7. It's a much slower burning powder than Titegroup and you use more but that helps alleviate the chance of a double or no charge. In my guns, it seems to be more accurate and cleaner too. I bought a pound of...
Privi was actually from Serbia. At least mine is. Anyway, Wolf bought them for there brass manufacturing capabilities. That's where the new Wolf "Gold" line of brass cased ammo is coming from. Privi also used to make the brass for FNM. I don't know anything about the .223 but I bought a few...
