I called it carbon, maybe it's just the residue left over from the cases. Whatever it is, I have had the hardest time trying to get it off of the pins. I tried to tumble it alone with just the soapy water and lemishine but that didn't do any good. The mineral spirits worked. Then I washed them...
I used my pins the other day and realized that they had gotten quite dirty. I have washed them with soapy water repeatly and I finally broke down and soaked them in mineral spirits and although they are a lot cleaner, they still have enough carbon on them to leave a little discoloration on your...
Thanks guys, I knew I would get some answers here. I was looking for a "one place does it all" kind of forum, but I guess I'll just do alot of surfing.
I would do a little at a time with my Rockchucker, an hour or so every evening, and it took me a week to load 450 rounds. I'm relatively new to reloading but I came across what I felt was a good deal on a Dillon 650, and it was already set up for 45acp. I mounted it to my bench and loaded the...
Romeo, thanks alot for the pictures. Although I did understand what you meant, pictures ARE worth a thousand words! I'm in agreement with RC, what did you do with the ramp inside the ram?
Those of you that own a Rock Chucker, have you figured out a better way to keep up with all the spent primers when depriming? I love the thing, but absolutely hate how it is supposed to collect the old primers. There is alot of room for improvement here. My reloading room has carpet and I do...
Those of you with the SS, will a tumble type media seperator do the job or do y'all just use magnets? I spent the money and I'm more than happy with it, but the tedious work comes when trying to recover the pins after tumbling.
Where do you guys that use it, get it from? How much will it take for a Thumbler's model B? I googled it but didn't really know what to look for as far as what kind??
Thanks guys! Again, I had no hard feelings earlier. When you guys get tired of seeing red and want something better send me a pm and I'll send ya Dillon's address. Hahaha!
Lost Sheep,
Thanks for the support. I'm not one of those guys on the internet that let others bother me with their comments. Everyone has an opinion about what they like and what is important to them. I have some Lee products (Dies), mostly RCBS stuff and now this Dillon. Thanks again!
Andy
