    Hornady LNL AP loose insert

I believe the LNL AP is made out of aluminum. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

    Hornady Shellplate #8

I have a #8 shell plate that I'd gladly trade for a #45 shell plate (for 45ACP) if anyone is interested. I will also have an additional #8 shell plate in my hands within the next couple days. I don't mind letting it go for what I paid for it (retail price - I don't believe scalping / taking...

    M&P 9c vs. XD9 SubCompact (Safeties)

On the subject of safeties alone, I'd prefer a passive safety (backstrap safety on XD) to an active safety. That being said, I've owned an XD-9 as well as my M&P9c. Both are fine guns and great shooters. Personally, I prefer the M&P for its ergonomics, size and light weight. I once was...

    M&P for sig P229, worth a trade?

1858, good point - I missed that post. The P250 has little more in common with a classic Sig than the mfr name itself. Sig made just as much of a mistake in stamping that pistol with their name as they did the Mosquito, IMO.

    M&P for sig P229, worth a trade?

I own both. I shoot the M&P better. They're both great guns though, and you can't go wrong with either. The M&P is definitely a better conceal / carry pistol due to weight and size.

    Photos | Glock 17 Kaboom

I think I'd feel safer shooting "junk" ammo through my Sig or M&P versus a Hi-Point... On another note - although that casing looks horribly haggard, does anyone else think things may have went a little more smoothly had the barrel's chamber been fully supported?

    Sigma Enigma

Did you purchase the gun used? I can't speak for the 9mm, however I have shot a friends' .40 Sigma. Other than the craptastic trigger, it had no issues feeding ammo. Perhaps the mag spring is worn? Do you have a spare mag to try?

    Handgun advice for a newbie?

Another vote for the M&P line - I absolutely love my M&P9 compact! I've also previously owned an XD and they're great guns too. If the pistol will be used for carry, short of going for a single stack sub-compact, the M&P is a fine choice and carries very well for me in my MTAC holster. I'd...

    Sig Pro 9mm vs XDm-9

I dunno about the SP2022 not being considered a Sig. Sure, the take-down is different (perhaps a little more difficult) and the frame is polymer, but it's a DA/SA pistol. If anything, I'd consider the P250 the bastard child of the Sig lineup. DAO trigger is a huge drawback IMO (even if it may...

    Budget 9mm, First Handgun

Another vote for the Sig SP2022. I don't have one, but it's a bargain and it's on my short list of guns to buy next!

    Sig Pro 9mm vs XDm-9

I've owned an XD-9 (not XDm) and have shot a friends' SP2022. Personally, I prefer the Sig. It's also an amazing bargain at under $450 and including night sights. The SP2022 is really one of the, if not the best bargain out there right now, IMO. The Sig fit my hands better than the XD, and I...
