    642 rusting already-anyone else?

That's a hard way to be reminded that stainless is not rustproof. I hope it cleans up ok. If you really need it almost 100% rustproofed. Call Mag-na-Port or SSK Industries. They can help you out with some first class work. Steve

Ohio Revised Code 1533.181: Exemption from liability to recreational users This comes off of an old Ohio "Permission for Hunting or Trapping on Private Land " published by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

Let me hunt for free, you jerk

308Win... Ohio has had the law to protect landowners should people hunting their land get hurt for a very long time. I printed off some copies some years ago and had one laminated to help open up a few doors. I'll dig up the ORC # if you're interested. Steve

    HOG Hunting in Ohio

There are probably a few that have gotten loose or come in from the bordering states. They can cause a lot of unwanted damage. I'd hate to guess how low the deer population was 21 years ago, let alone 39 years ago when I graduated from high school. There were also no black bear in Ohio...

O.K. why is it so hard to find a list of the NRA board of directors?

I assume you're an NRA member. Otherwise you wouldn't be so interested, so read your last issure of the American Hunter or American Rifleman. Steve

    Just wondering...

I've hunted more than 40 years. Wound effects....hell the only thing I see when I'm dressing something out is the the vision of the cooked meat. Steve

Update on Ed Brown IRS case...

I've got a neighbor who ignores the illegal drug and alcohol use while shooting in his back yard. Placed a few bullets into his closest neighbors house last summer. Somehow managed to hit it from 75 yard away while aiming somewhere else. Steve

    Pittman-Robertson Act a historical question

Sportsmen requested the special tax and have also requested the additonal items that have since been added. The P-R funds are earmarked as to what they can be spent for. I don't remember all the details but I'm sure that if you google P-R you can find all the details. As a college student in...

    Bead Blasting Stainless Steel

I've had a couple of guns done by Mag-na-port. Some of the best work in the country done up there. Great family run operation. They are one of my two favorite places to get guns worked on. The other is SSK Industries. Steve

    NRA Annual Meetings

The NRA Annual Meetings / Show is the opportunity for the manufacturers to show off their goodies. You can't buy or sell guns to the public there though. The NRA show is also the so called finale of the shows and open to the public. The dealer shows normally start in January and finish up the...

    deer ran off?

    1) how did the deer react? 2) did you wait 30 minutes then go over there and check for blood etc? Just a couple of the questions? Steve

Who says a 16", chrome lined AR15 can't be accurate at longer distances?

Looks nice....and if you chronograph it and the longer barrels you'll find that there isn't that much difference in velocity. And sometimes a change to a different powder can close that little gap a bit. It's been a while but I recall reading a test where they chronographed a barrel and kept...

    Rust on Stainless Steel Gun?

I'm with the majority here. NO STEEL WOOL on stainless steel. IT WILL EMBED ITSELF IN THE SS. They also make stainless steel steel wool. I think I bought it from Brownells. Scotchbrite comes in several different grades. White is extremely fine, grey, red, green then black. Maybe others...
