    Recommendations For A Decent Revolver?

He wants a revolver, IN ADDITION TO, the Ruger? Or he wants a revolver TO REPLACE the Ruger - because he's decided he dislikes the Ruger or because he's old and having trouble working the slide or for some other reason? Knowing what he would want the revolver for makes a big difference in my...

A better way to carry moon clips

For 45 I use this nylon double speed loader pouch. It holds four clips - two in each pocket. You put the first one in bullet down, and set the other one on top of it, base to base.

    Load 5 or 6

I bought my python in 83 I believe it was. Cost me $465, which was more than a week's pay. I understand they're going for many many thousands of dollars nowadays. Does that mean my python is too valuable to carry? A brand spanking new Colt Single Action Army runs about $2,000. Is it too...

OK, how about the LARGEST handgun you ever owned

Depends on how you look at it. Either my 7½" Ruger Super Redhawk .454. Or my 11" Rossi Overland 12 gauge.

    Smallest handgun you’ve owned

Pedersoli copy of Remington Rider parlor target pistol. Cap n ball. Percussion cap, no powder at all, .177 lead ball. Smoothbore. EXTREMELY inaccurate.

    Centerfire kit guns?

Skeeter did an article back in '77. Called it a "trail gun". Said he did that because S&W owned the name "kit gun". http://www.darkcanyon.net/What's%20The%20Best%20Trail%20Gun%20For%20You.htm

What's the oddest thing you've heard someone say in regards to firearms, ammunition, etc.?

The first I remember hearing about it was the Mack Bolan books I read in the early seventies. Mack would frequently be shooting up the Mafia with "5.56 tumblers" from an M16.

What's the oddest thing you've heard someone say in regards to firearms, ammunition, etc.?

Another section in the same book. Elmer tells about a barber that was teaching him to shoot after the shop was closed, using the "old short hollow base 45 colts that Remington loaded". Said the barber shop had a parquet floor and he was filling up the spaces in the design with the hollow base...

    How to carry with sweatpants

I have several shoulder holsters. The only one that does not attach to my belt is a Miami Classic. So all you people that are recommending shoulder holsters - how do you attach them to the belt of your sweatpants? Or am I the only one that still uses a vertical shoulder holster?

Beretta Minx and 950 BS parts Interchangeability

I'm pretty sure that your centerfire firing pin would not set off that rimfire ammunition.

How do horses adapt to riders firing guns?

I read an article many years ago about calvarymen learning how to shoot off their horses' backs. It said you needed to be very careful about when you shot. The other soldiers would laugh at you if your horse had a hole in one of its ears.

Crazy stuff going on in the world and this seems sane. Except for the shotgun

Does the word "moron" pop into anyone else's head?
