My LGS has powders but price is too high. I'm still shooting with powders I bought in 2012 before the shortage started. If it weren't for that hazmat fee I would have made a smaller purchase and I'd have been out a long time ago. I've learned that one should always buy too much powder.

I use a lot of liquid alox lub on the lead bullets which creates a lot of friction against the guide, purhaps that is the problem. The FMJ loads work fine in the pmag. My Lancer mag works well unmodified with the sticky lead bullets.

I had problems with 170 grain lead cast round nose in pmags. The sides of the bullets would rub against the guide inside the mag. I used a chisel to remove the guide and the problem went away and the mags cycled without any problems. I was wondering if anyone else has done this and their results.

I found that 300 blackout had a problem with the follower guides on the inside of the magazine body especially if you load a thick caste lead bullet. The bullets are pushed against the guide and create friction so if you load more than 10 rounds the magazine doesn't function like it is supposed...

I have tens of thousands of rounds loaded and I still only have my original lee single stage. The only reloading equipment I buy is for redundancy in case something breaks and I can't get it replaced.

I make 9mm for 4 cents per round using lead that I got for free at the range. I recently purchased small pistol primers for 0.02 cents each and the powder costs 0.01 cent per load. I add one cent for overhead and electrical costs of tumbling. My 9mm is a lot cheaper than 22.

I wouldn't pay $30 for a lb of bullseye. I've have more than I need. As soon as it becomes readily available again I'm going to stock up.

I've seen a lot of rifle powders starting to become available online and remaining in stock for over 24 hours at a time. I haven't seen powders like A2230 or H110 or Lil'gun or any pistol powders. Have any of ya'll gotten any pistol powder online or at a LGS?

I shoot the exact same lead cast bullet in my sr9 and my loads are similar to your original OAL and I have never had this problem. Are you using the correct diameter bullet? Are your cases the correct length?
