    Ruger & Strum 10mm revolver?

Here is my Buckeye 38-40 /10MM Convertible. This is by far the nicest Ruger Single Action that I have: The revolver has only been shot once by me. I had to try out both cylinders. The 38-40 is not a round to trifle with or dismiss wantonly. It's a hard charger out of a 6 inch...

What is up with the Cerakoting trend?

Cera-koting allows for a very tough, durable finish to be had over what is often a cheap, non-lasting factory finish. Durakote started the trend, but their finish is soft, never really lasting a long time. Cerakote holds up 1000% better. You now have some manufacturers like Kel-Tec even going to...

    Best EDC revolver

S&W 432 might be an option (.32 H&R). Colt Detective Special.

Would you rather have 15 round of 9mm, or 8 rounds of 45 in your carry gun

I'll carry the 9MM as I'd rather have the extra ammunition than be wishing for it.

FFL fees and other taxes question

Quite simple. Let the FFL know that you are not happy with that policy and that policy will kill future purchases and drive off business. 50 bucks for a transfer? Not so bad. There really IS a cost to having a storefront, employees, insurance, storage (that paperwork has to stay for 20 years...

    Pawn Shop Colt 1917 Army

To the OP: It looks like a Colt Detective Special finally finished puberty and started a rigorous workout regimen. Congrats!!!

    I'm Giving Up On 1911s

I have 4 1911s right now and I don't carry any of them. I take them out to the range every now and then if I want to experience them. Here's why I don't carry them: 1. Too heavy for the limited capacity of 8 or even 10 rounds. 2. Too finicky. Yes, they are too finicky for me to depend on...

    What's Your Favorite J Frame??

I've owned a number of "J" Frame revolvers over the years: 442, 642, Model 60 Ladysmith, 940, and a 640-1 chambered for .357 Magnum / .38 SPL and it's a "Pre-Lock". I love the gun for the simple reason of it's shootability and versatility. I mainly carry it as a Back Up Gun these days as for...

    new colt double action pistols?

Thing is, as revolver buffs, we have to face one crucial fact. Revolver sales are declining. I own a small shop here in Northern VA. Was told by a distributor that S&W won't start ramping up production of their revolvers other than the 642 or 442 in part because they cannot keep up with polymer...

Have you switched to become a revolver guy?

Nothing wrong with the wheelguns, I carry one as a BUG. As a main gun? No. If I carried my 686 with 6 rounds of .357, I'd be ok, but for a more compact package with higher capacity, I'll take my Glock 19.

    best pro gun books?

John Wesley Rawles series: Patriots is pretty good. Basically the premise is that Ron Paul was right and it goes into surviving in America post "Crunch". VERY pro-gun.

Worst Revolver You Ever Bought ?

Now it's been a few years since I've talked about specifics with these revolvers, so the details are a tad fuzzy. Taurus 905 9MM Revolver. Shavings in the action caused binding. Cracked open the sideplate and blew out with compressed air / picked out with tweezers, sent back to factory. Came...

    1911 vs Revolver

What I think is funny are those that say the 1911 is more modern. The .357 round came out in 1935. The 1911, in 1911. Keep that in mind.

    Walther PPQ ► Original/M1/Classic

I'd like to see ONE magazine that fits the PPQ M1 and M2 and not this garbage of different magazines for the different guns. This is why I have not purchased a PPQ.
