    Odd Thompson M1/ M1A1 stock.

I wouldn't think that a reproduction or a Numrich stock would have the old school milled sling swivel on it.

    Odd Thompson M1/ M1A1 stock.

I had thought that too. With the exception of the flat butt plate surface, it is identical in every way.

    No, not exactly. Lol

    Odd Thompson M1/ M1A1 stock.

I bought a butt stock for the Thompson M1/M1A1 off of gunbroker simply because of the milled sling swivel that was still attached to it. After receiving the stock I noticed something odd about it. The butt plate surface was totally flat, not curved ? The stock looks to be totally genuine in...

    Magpul MBUS Sights

That's exactly what I got, PTS! Just figured that out today! Thought it was too good to be true, but it was not listed as PTS! At least Im not out much. I was shopping on Ebay for sights only because this was for a .22lr Sig 522 not my AR.

    Magpul MBUS Sights

I picked up a Sig 522 that comes without any irons. Though I have put optics on it I would like some backup sights in case the optics fail. Being a Toolmaker I machined up a dovetail to picatiny adapter for the front that matches the hight of the Sigs rail. I got a good deal on Ebay on a set of...

    Gun safe shelf load limits.

I an looking into buying the wide body Cannon safe at TSC. I know these aren't top of The line but its a far cry better than the wooden gun cabinet that Im presently using. My question is, does anyone know what the load limit for the shelves are? I am wanting to put some ammo cans on a couple of...

    Plated Bullets in .30 Carbine

You won't Have any problems running plated through your Carbine. I've pushed lead, cast from wheel weights to 1400 fps through my 1944 Indland with minimal leading and ran thousands of plated at 1900 fps. Just make sure to slightly flare the case mouth enough to hold the bullet, this will...

    worn hand priming tool.

Yeah, I looked it over pretty good and everything else looks fine. The upper portion of The slot that holds the shell holder looks worn and when you slide any shell holder in place you can lift it up and down about a 32nd of an inch. By placing a shim in there prevented it from moving up and I...

    worn hand priming tool.

Yeah, I agree. Normaly I made it a habit to run my finger across each primer after seating. This was just negligence on my part for not thinking of that untill I already had them loaded. I did test fire the Thompson with five of The worst ones with gun held at arms length and ejection port down...

    worn hand priming tool.

Otto, I agree. I value my fingers and other body parts :) I am shooting these rounds in an Auto Ordnance Thompson which has a very heavy recoil spring and my worries were the heavy bolt slamming home would set off the primers before in battery.

Float pilot, unfortunately my model is not adjustable. I wish it was !

    worn hand priming tool.

I have an RCBS hand priming tool that has worn from years of use. The wear is in the area where the shell holder goes. What is happening is when I seat a primer the shell holder is lifting up so that the seating rod is not fully seating the primers. Unfortunately I did not catch on to what was...
