Great thread! I understand that not every pit bull is a problem. Sure was for this poor boy though in AZ though. He was recently attacked by his neighbors dog, so he wasn't a stranger. I wouldn't take a chance with this breed. No offense intended to pit bull owners. What a tragedy...

Yea, I already mounted the scope with the black base. Perfectly functional. I just have a camo base that matches the rifle that's not usable. Not a big deal. Think I'll have to shoot in the duck hunt rimfire match tomorrow!

I picked up a new camo Ruger 10/22 at the local Gander Mtn. today. It came with a scope and 2 sets of scope bases, one 2 piece camo base and a one piece black base. Trouble is with the 2 piece camo base only half fits in the pre tapped holes in the receiver. The 2nd set of pre tapped holes...

I experienced similar behavior with a Model 39 I picked up. The fix for me was a new magazine spring.

I've had that happen with Wally World WWB in 9MM too. I'll be staying away from that stuff from now on.
