My 686-5 Plus 4" fits in my Bianchi 5BH exactly like my friends 686-5 4" (6-shot). There are no differences in dimension between the two, except the number of holes in the cylinder of course.

Should the markings really be "U.S.A. ARMI" on the LaRue? I´ve seen the "LIVE FREE OR DIE"-markings, but the misspelling of ARMY is either a RaRue special or the work of Chinese illiterates...

I got my 686-5P second-hand, in very good condition about a year ago. So I don´t know its DOB, or its previous history.
I´ve done some research on the different generations of the 686, and as I understand the 686-5 was a short-lived generation with a frame mounted firing-pin but no (stupid)...

My latest project: A Remington 788 "LBMRS" (Low Budget Medium Range Sniper) in .222Rem.
The rifle was bought new by my father in 1967, and has to this day exactly 64 rounds trough it. Works fine up to about 250meters (~270yd) in still weather.
