I have a Ruger Redhawk .44 Mag revolver. I attached a picture, it's the newer model type. I was just curious what it would take to mount a scope on it? Would I need to get it drilled and tapped? If so, how much would this run approx? Thank you!

Welcome to the forum! I myself just bought the "Hunter" a couple days ago. It's a great gun. Reliable and accurate. I have not shot the other one yet. For the holster purpose, the shorter one would probably be a bit better, and you also would not have to worry about knocking out the HiViz...

It goes to show... if someone wants to attack, it doesn't matter if they have guns, knives, bats, forks, fingernails, or condoms filled with water and frozen, they are going to attack.

The .243 actually did quite well... he seemed to have needed at least two on each hog though, although he was quick about it and a good shot once the hog stopped. I was pretty impressed, considering it took 3 .223's to bring down a big guy.
