    Your SA-35 Experiences?

The issue now is that the Beavertail edges aren’t smoothed out. This makes longer range session’s annoying, as it irritates the web area between your thumb and forefinger. Other than that it’s not bad, especially considering it’s price.

    Pickup truck rifle racks?

Nice concept, especially if you don’t require full use of your pickup bed. Most folks I know, including myself, have need for the bed, oftentimes the entire bed, so, as nice as that is, it’s useless to me.

    Feeling Constrained At The Range

Consider yourself lucky, in that they let you shoot from the Hip. Most indoor, as well as outdoor ranges, that’s a NO NO! I’m an RSO at a measly 5 point indoor range and if we have all five points going, especially with family members rotating in the lanes, it sometimes is a nightmare. Our range...

    liberty safe issue

In some cases, we are our own worst enemy. To the OP, after closing your safe do you "SPIN" the dial quickly? If so, it's a big NO NO! Spinning it fast upsets the tumblers or some thing and causes misalignment. As stated by another forum member, going one digit off can fix the problem it's a...

    Getting guns into New York

Be forewarned, Pa dealers are being very cautious, as of late. Many are refusing to sell, anything over the counter that is or will be banned in NY, even if it is totally legal. I visited two large firearms dealers who could sell you a long gun and let you leave with it, refuse to do so. It is...

Identity and Date of Manufacture of S&W Revolvers

Radagast... I Called Smith & Wesson with regard to my Model 10 with the C18XXXX serial number. The customer service rep was very helpful. His records show it to be a penciled barreled 4" Model 10, from 1948. He stated that it is possible that Roy's department might find more on the gun, but...

Identity and Date of Manufacture of S&W Revolvers

I'm about to send for a Letter of Authenticty for my Model 10-8, 3" Heavy Barrel. I'm curious as to the reply I will get. The serial number range (C1XXXXX) puts its year of Mfgr between 1948 & 1952. I believe it started life as a penciled barreled M-10 or were they still Victory's back then?

Your opinion on Sig P229 Elite v Sig P226 Elite.

I was never a Sig fan. While at the LGS the Mrs. Asked to see a P226 EE, she then says "this is nice, what do you think?" I gave it the once over and quite frankly liked it. She bought it and loves it. I've shot it and I'm now looking for a P229 EE in 40 to replace a G-27 I bought and never...

    Going to Gunsite! Any tips?

My Baer and my Colt Govt from 1977 will do 1000 rounds at a time I usually put some oil on the rails, barrel and clean the ramp, same as I do with mt Glock on high round count courses. At Gunsite I wiped my Baer down each evening and ran a snake thru it a couple of times. It ran flawlessly...

    Going to Gunsite! Any tips?

Yes, Sept '11. The old timer had the extractor go on his Caspian. It was a shortie. He built 2 more guns for his sons, God Bless him. I shot my Baer TRS, it ran flawlessly. Didn't realize Mark from Ruger had a firing pin stop issue. He was to the left of me on the line. I thought it was a rear...

    Going to Gunsite! Any tips?

A little late coming into, this thread. I attended the Centennial 250 last year, like the rest of you, it was a fantastic experience. Ed Head was our range master. 98+% were 1911's. the instructors commented, it was a testament to the 1911, as they all performed exceptionally well, with only one...

As others stated, we will probably never know the true number. Take NY and some other stats, no insta check if you have a permit or sales between LEOs.
