I was not paying attention to the single stack mags, but was paying attention to the DD's and the cute brunette behind the counter who was giving me the go ahead signals....
I had been in the market for another compact 1911 or a g30... Turns out the g36 is a keeper and possibly the...
a teardrop/extended slip stop release (they usually come with a new spring) from lone wolf or other quality aftermarket makers is dirt cheap and a nice upgrade for usability.
with the original being circa 1994, i would just spend the $15 and get a new spring and extended slide stop. won't hurt...

very slim, easy to operate and control under fire and can be had for cheap, yet they are very reliable.
when i lived in AZ i had them ask me to send them a copy of my book... turned out an old nangant revolver i had traded to a guy ended up getting stolen and he didn't have a serial for it for the police report, but since i had originally bought it with my C&R i had all the info... would have...

i own several of the savage 93's with the accu trigger and the marlin is identical and possibly a little better.
plus the marlins are easier to load the mags into the gun and the mag release is much better.
here is my xt-17vl and my xt-22l
