    "Wanted"

You guys do know it's based on a comic book, right? Besides, I don't think it really hurts the cause that much. If anything, it just goes to show that violence can sometimes be necessary for the greater good of society.

CZ452 Scope Rings and a few other questions...

So, I want to scope my CZ452 Super Exclusive. I've been told by one store owner that the CZ rings for the 452 won't allow operation of the bolt with a scope mounted unless I modify the bolt. I've been told by another store owner that the CZ rings aren't high enough to allow the use of a scope...

Can ammo cook off in car in summer?

Slightly off topic, but I've seen a round go off for no reason in the local gun store. The owner came in and opened up for the morning and noticed a big mess by the ammunition. A cartridge in a box of .45ACP had apparently discharged on it's own. The casing was present, and the primer was...

Dickson City, Pa Police Harass Gun Owners

No one should have to notify local law enforcement of their intentions to obey the law. It is not my job to keep the police up to date on what is okay and what is not. I do not get paid for that. It is their job and their responsibility.

Rails, we don't need no stinking rails

I would rather my pistol have rails and I never decide to use them instead of one day deciding "hey, I should put a light on that" and then not being able to. Most models that come with rails come with them as a standard feature. It's not like we're paying anything extra for the rail most of...

    Bullet-proof pram - fake?

Check the manufacturer site. Everything is "Out of Stock" and there's an ad for the movie "Shoot 'Em Up" on it. It's quite clearly intended to be humorous. Movie studios perform "viral marketing" all the time.

    Cheapest CETME / HK91 clone?

I gave $325 out the door about a year ago for a Cetme someone had spraypainted with green Krylon, including 4 Cetme (not G3) mags. Brand new wood stock set, including metal pieces: $25 Stripping the green paint and Duracoating it in Socom Black: $90 All total, I have around $440 in it, and...

    CZ452 Lux vs. Trainer

The 452 Lux has a nice cheekweld on the stock, rubber buttpad, gold trigger, and the barrel is 4" longer on the Lux. I'd get the Lux for the extra money. But that seems slightly high. My local gun shop sells trainers for $310 out the door and Lux's for $330 out the door.

    Which EOTECH for AR15?

Eotech 512 with a LaRue QD mount is a good setup. The 512 uses readily-available AA batteries that last up to 1100 hours. It isn't NV compatible, but it sounds like you're not going to be using it for that anyway. Aimsurplus.com has them for $377.99 with 1 cent shipping I believe.

    Wal-Mart toughens gun policies

At the Wal-Mart here it takes forever to get a gun anyway. I don't know many people who want to waste an hour of their day trying to get a gun. The marginally cheaper prices are definitely not worth the extra time. I can be in and out at the local gun shops in less than 10 minutes, and that's...

    EOTech (EO-Heck!)

You absolutely cannot go wrong with the LaRue mount. Is it rock solid in every way. Gundoggy, The 3X doesn't have to rest on the flat top. That's what the small piece of picatinny rail on the back of the mount is for. This allows the Eotech sight, the Eotech magnifier, and the BUIS all to...

The story of how public lands become closed to shooting (photos)

The stupid thing is, with the cost of metal, they could take something up there, shoot it all they want, then haul it off and get paid for it at a salvage yard. But I guess that makes too much sense.
