That and probably due to the fact you can buy a cheapo Savage Axis, Ruger American, TC Center, etc. new rifle that will outshoot those...

  3. vizslas1 liked Riomouse911's post in the thread 9mm carry loads.

I went to the 150 gr HST Micro load for my LC9. My duty G-34 uses Ranger +P+ 127 gr SXT. As was stated, you’ll get lots of ideas. Find...

  5. vizslas1 liked z7's post in the thread 6.8 spc or 300bo for a kids hunting rifle?.

@<*(((>< that 120gn sst load looks sweet, 2500fps from a 16” barrel, 2000fps at 200 yds, and I could probably push it a little faster...

  6. vizslas1 liked <*(((><'s post in the thread 6.8 spc or 300bo for a kids hunting rifle?.

If the x39 is out of the question, I would go 6.8 SPC II all the way. You and your kids will not be disappointed. From 80gr all the...

Of the two choices I would go with 6.8 SPC over the 300BLK. Another option that I really like is the 6.5 Grendel.

  8. vizslas1 liked Citadel99's post in the thread 6.8 spc or 300bo for a kids hunting rifle?.

I went with 300 BLK for my boys. I disagree with the factory .300 rounds being anemic. My experience is with the supersonic Barnes...

  9. vizslas1 liked someguy2800's post in the thread 6.8 spc or 300bo for a kids hunting rifle?.

If your using factory ammo I would vote 6.8 spc or 7.62x39. Factory 300 blackout ammo is pretty anemic. 7.62x39 gives the option for...

  10. vizslas1 liked gojones's post in the thread 6.8 spc or 300bo for a kids hunting rifle?.

Just my preference, 6.8 spc II. I would think the 6.8 round is lighter than the 300 BO and overall weight may be somewhat lighter. I do...

One of the only things I don't like about the 357 is I have to bring ear plugs with me into the woods. It's way too loud to shoot with...

The individual gun matters more than an inch or 2 of barrel. Some 4" barreled revolvers shoot the same ammo faster than some 6" revolvers.
