I have used both RCBS and LEE. I have found that lee dies are a little smoother inside than RCBS. I have gotten cases stuck in the RCBS die, never LEE. no I did not change lube or amount of lube. as far as lube goes, I use hornady unique. lasts a long time and it is GOOD.
you may want to put a little crimp on you cases after loading this will ensure you have the pressure needed to cycle some autoloaders. it will also ensure you bullet/case is still in line with one another .
any one got any tips or tricks for the combo santa gave to me the year. i have set it up and calibrated it and started to dump powder. any hints, tricks, or stay away froms, you can send my way
I have the SPS varmint and it came with the 1:12 twist. I have loaded 150s and 168s in it and they did not do to good. the only good load with 150s was with norma powder and that is very hard to find around my parts. about 3 inch was the best with 168s. I finally stuck with 130 grn barnes w/46...
i have the model you speak of in 338 ultra mag. it is a BDL. nothing more just BDL I have three 700s the ADL,BDL and SPS. Ditch is correct in his post.
