Thanks
I appreciate all of the great suggestions. I think for the sake of training I will get a double belt holster, and continue to carry my spare in my pocket. Thanks all.
That is a good point I hadn't thought of. I probably won't wear the mags except for the class, as I generally carry my spare in my left coat pocket. Perhaps you can recommend another kind?
Looking for suggestions for a double magazine holster for my Glock 30. I am taking a class this weekend and need one. Anyone seen a good one that is inside the waistband? I am a female and would never wear them anywhere else.
Thanks
Knowing what I know of my man...reaching for his weapon is a very bad idea. I don't want him to have to identify who is reaching for it before he defends it. It happens too quickly. However, that said, if he is for any reason unable to use his own, I can reach for mine and defend him. God forbid...
I see a lot of good points in this article. I do think it is often difficult to gauge how serious people are about their firearms training by where or if there are holes in the paper. For instance, when I have lots of time I can make my groups very close. When I am training under low light, or...
Dave-
If a woman truly feels it is the purse or not at all, I say pick the purse. Especially if she stays sharp and trains drawing from it. For me personally, I just prefer to minimize my need to defend my purse by carrying on my body. There are so many different kinds of holsters available...
I think it should also be said that everyone's bodies are different, thus certain Martial Arts styles work better for some than others. I think the key is find one that suits you best, and remain open to what else is out there. And I can say that based on my own personal experience, size...
I wouldn't go so far as to say traditional Martial Arts have a gun phobia, but they teach what they know. There is value in what they have to offer, even if it does not include training with a firearm. When I went for my gun safety course, someone asked what to do in a physical confrontation...
I think the reason why most Martial Arts systems do not incorporate firearms training is because most of them were developed before firearms were available. There is a strong emphasis on tradition in Martial Arts. I don't think sticking to a centuries old curriculum is right or wrong, but I...
Maybe consider making adjustments to your clothes to accommodate a belt. I have been thinking about sewing wider belt loops on my work pants for instance.
I don't like to wear my purse or bags across my chest because if for some reason it is grabbed, I am now caught in it. As I said before, I...
Whereas I respect where you are coming from as far as being watchful of your possessions, I still think it is best in a confrontation to let the possessions go. We are armed to protect our lives, ultimately. If a "purse snatcher" is truly only after our money it is foolish to escalate the...
Hi all, I'm new but wanted to offer my 2 cents.
Effective concealed carry has been difficult for me. As Paxton Quigley said in Armed and Female "There is no satisfactory way to carry a handgun concealed. Period. Every holster, every method to conceal a handgun is flawed more ways than it...
