    Help me choose a caliber!

Cant go wrong per se with just about any reasonable choice, just wondering on what u decided on. Love the .280 but theres a lot of sentimental factors riding upon it. These days a 250gr bullet going 2900 + makes me feel kinda indifferent to most others so take it for what u will. I love this...

Custom Case Hardened Mauser #2 nearly done

That's great!! was my dream not that long ago but costs and logistics bit me in the a**. very glad you did it! On a side note, I bought a .375 ruger Alaskan guide gun and it might be my fav new gun for relatively cheap money. EXCELLENT WORK!! Nathan

Just wanted to show off my new CZ...

Damn fine rifle and like others said, great shooting! Anyone that can keep three touching off hand in a hunting rifle with iron sights at fifty yds knows their way around a trigger!

Would also love to see pics of the re-formed win mag brass as well. Just happen to have a about 15 or so on the shelf dying for a little attitude adjustment. Very cool

    .375 ruger alaskan guide gun

These were hanging plates at 50yds. Iron sights, standing, about 2900 and change with a 220 hornady sp. Pushes like a 20ga with that brake on. My favorite new toy!! Never touched sight from factory. Will get down to load development and accuracy testing with scope after i get settled.

    .375 ruger alaskan guide gun

Yeah. 1.5" seems about right. It comes with a thread protector and a portless brake replacement for if u wanna take the brake off for hunting and still keep it same poi (in theory)

    .375 ruger alaskan guide gun

Problem?!?!? Heck i wouldnt change a thing about her!!That green laminate just makes sure i dont lose her on the gun rack and of course keeps me hidden from grizzly bears!:what:

    .375 ruger alaskan guide gun

Theres a few .375's in the ruger lineup. One called a guide gun w a wood stock and one with a hogue stock. Then comes the "alaskan" guide gun which is where the opinions come in as far as aesthetics. I for one thought it looked cool before whereas now that ive shot her i think shes downright sexy:D

    .375 ruger alaskan guide gun

Understood! Hahah I do have pics on my phone now but ive never posted on here soooo im a little behind the curve. I can try tonight when i get a little more time. Funny u should say that about the ar. I was just saying that if u figure it takes 3x as much powder to fill the .375 vs the AR to...

    .375 ruger alaskan guide gun

Was kicking around the idea of building a" sunday go to meeting" custom big bore bolt gun a while back. After a good piece of advice from a fellow on here, i saw the folly of dropping $1000 plus on getting a siamese mauser action color case hardened and tuned for .458 wm. So then it was gonna be...

.450 marlin or .458 WM in mauser question

I would agree. Nothing about this project is cheap. Looks to be about $100 for 100 458 wm and about $120 for 416. When ur spending close to 2k for the gun minus anything else, $20 is about as significant as a penny. Im more interested in the availability of heads if i decide to use something...
