    Wingmaster recoil pad

Really hate to say it,but my 70's Wingmaster is really starting to bite my 52 year old , arthritic arms, especially with slug loads. My gun still has the original factory pad. The Super Cell recoil pad wont fit a shotgun of my age. Your suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Recoil pad for 70's Wingmaster

Thanks RC. That's the one my local gunshop suggested to me yesterday. They said they would have to grind fit it for me, and of course the Limbsaver in the shop was priced about nine bucks more than the one in the link you sent !

    Recoil pad for 70's Wingmaster

Hi Folks, So after 15 years of not deer hunting I decided to get back into it this year. I can hunt right on my own property. As my luck would have it,I've torn my right biceps muscle and shooting my 12 guage Wingmaster is out of the question right now. I'm hoping I might heal enough to be...

    Taurus 4510 Public Defender

Ok, I'm convinced. Really all you guys are just reaffirming what I thought was true.I've heard the Taurus ain't in Ruger or SW class quality wise. GP100 3" SS in .357 it is. Thanks for the advice.

    Taurus 4510 Public Defender

Hi all. I'm getting ready to buy my first handgun, primarily for carry but also as backup to my pumpgun for HD. I was set on a Ruger GP100,though I realize it's a little large for CC.Today I noticed an ad on the back of the current American Hunter magazine that mentioned this Taurus 4510 in .45...

    Snakes in Fl

Nile monitors in the Glades? Now those you really need to worry about. These are the second largest lizard in the world (Komodo dragon is 1st,same family)and their razor teeth are full of bacteria so nasty that you can die from it. I once helped a guy feed a wild caught six footer that was...

Summer hunting #2, Sir John Franklin

WOW, if only I had followed my dreams. Pretty spooky about the Franklin expedition. If you get over near Baffin get some pics of anything left from the Greely Expedition.

Remington Introduces New Recoil Pad for M-870

I have the original factory pad on my mid 70's Wingmaster. I also called Remington and found out that the Supercell wouldn't work for me. Any other suggestions would be appreciated by my 50 year old right shoulder?!!

Recommend a nice Coach Gun for home protection please.

Yeah, but I thought it would make a nice thick cover small game gun too. Could the barrels be threaded for choke tubes? Probably cost more than the old girl is worth.

Recommend a nice Coach Gun for home protection please.

I've got an old Savage Stevens 311 that I'd like to have cut down to 18.5 and a new bead. But what about the chokes, they would be gone, right?

    Handgun Recommendation for Rookie

Wow. Thanks everybody for taking the time to respond. A lot of good stuff. I sure will see if we have a range that will rent around here. As I said,I've got land with a big hill to shoot up against ( yeah, I appreciate my luck Blind!) so I'm not sure about rental ranges. We used to have a gun...

    Handgun Recommendation for Rookie

Ah,their not making it hard. I'm learning and I respect the opinions. Fumbler, the revolvers I've shot were Ruger Black (dont want single action) and Red hawks. If I was going to use the gun for hunting backup I might look at a Red hawk, but I'm not .I've also shot a variety of shortbarreled .38's...

    Handgun Recommendation for Rookie

Thanks for all the great info ,Blindjustice. I have done quite a bit of .22 shooting too with a cheapie six shooter my dad had. The nice thing about my situation is that I have some acreage that I can shoot on for practice.Maybe I'll pick up an inexpensive .22 just to get my license with while I...

    Handgun Recommendation for Rookie

Wow Fumbler, lots of good info there, thanks for taking the time. Money is unfortunately somewhat of an object, still paying for the daughters college loans and wedding! That said,I wont give up quality. I've heard that Taurus is somewhat lacking there, but that could be biased opinions. I'll give...
