For sure. And when you get older you tend to think you've got it all figured out and know everything. I'm just speaking in generalities of course. I don't think anyone here has made assumptions about me or spoken like they know me well when they don't. I'm just some kid that is new to shooting...
I appreciate that. I really don't think that's the reason here though. If anything I'd expect flinching with the full house magnums. I feel quite confident I'm not pulling shots with the Longs.
Also, I'm not sure I buy that you can outpace a flinch with faster bullets. I've never heard the...
TLDR: My LCR in 327 is stupid accurate with full house magnums, but displays less than stellar accuracy with 32 S&W Longs. What gives?
I have a high standard for accuracy when it comes to my pistols. I've sent on a lot of guns that were decent but didn't meet my standards out to 25 yards. I...
Storing guns in a different state is a perfectly legal and reasonable way to stay legal if said firearms are illegal in the state you currently reside in. It is not a transfer of ownership and an FFL does not need to be involved.
Man I love this answer. We all get too caught up in having the Uber hardware and can get lost in it.
That said, my nightstand gun is generally a long gun. The carry gun goes in the safe at night.
Well, this one is harder to answer as I'm not quite sure what you are asking. Is the slide stop contacting the slide during normal operation? So is it locking open every shot? The slide stop will contact the slide when the magazine is empty. What kind of peening and where are you seeing it...
I think if you re read my post you'll see that I noted the distinction. Many use "series 80" to refer to a 1911 with a firing pin safety regardless of how it works.
That brings up a good point about what one actually means when they say "series 80". Many people use it to just mean a 1911 with a firing pin safety. If one is being pedantic, it actually refers to a specific Colt line called the "Series 80". These all have a firing pin safety.
My Special...
Firing pin safety. Series 80 has a firing pin safety that makes the pistol more drop safe than series 70. Series 70 relies on the strength of the firing pin spring alone to maintain drop safety.
Different companies have done the firing pin safety thing differently with differing results...
I find the LCR fits my hand so much better. J Frame is painful for me. With the LCR's trigger I also get much better accuracy. So the LCR is for me the clear winner.
